That's absolutely ridiculous and just really messed up! We were already postponed to June 2021, but just postponed again to June 2022 and our venue and photographer have been so flexible and understanding. Our venue even changed their non refundable deposit policy because of Covid, allowing people to postpone or cancel if there are restrictions still in place.

Hi Olivia, I still plan on having my wedding in May 2021. I already had to postpone my original September 2020 wedding and to be honest. It's better to just cut down the list and have something more intimate... I'm looking forward to start planning in Jan 21. The less ppl the better for our pockets lol and the outcome may end up much more amazing

    Hi Olivia & All!!!

We are still planning on having our wedding in May 2021 & we also has to postpone our original date (as I am reading in other comments, like Daniella's) Smiley winking

We cut the wedding down significantly ( this has been challenging)!

We are so excited to share our celebration and Sacrament of Marriage with those of our family and closest friends who feel comfortable joining us in May!

We also moved our venue to my fiancè's parents' backyard ... so that is helpful while planning! They are not going to cancel on us Smiley kiss

    Smiley heart

Love to ALL of you!! Best wishes on planning each of your special day!! Smiley ring

Yes we were going to do this month of December 2020 but we pushed it to May 29 2021. Our wedding party is not that big it’s only 14 of us and we have 50 people on our guest list for the reception. We will just see how it play out as gets closer to the date.

That's a good guest count. Also we are wedding date twins lol. Things are looking like its slowly progressing with controlling the virus which will help us all alot while planning. Also did you have to postpone your 2020 wedding but still have planning to do for your 2021 wed date or everything is mostly done?

Thank you! I was kind of worried that we would have to cut our guess down. But I see things are going smoothly with the virus so far hopefully this vaccine does it. Yes! Wedding twins! Well we wanted to go for December of this year but we just waited and went for May nicer weather and plus the virus. We mostly have everything done just have to get lil stuff out the way.

We had to move our Vow Renewal from May 30, 2020 to May 29, 2021. We are having the Renewal ceremony on the beach and reception indoors with patio doors open, to alliw guests to go in and out. We plan on about 55-60 guests, and hope vaccines have moved forward enough for guests to feel comfortable attending the whole celebration. This event IS paid for, so the show must go on.. including loosing my covid 15 to fit back into my dress. I may be ordering masks for all our guests, just to make them feel more comfortable. One big plus is our venue/beach hotel, has gone through a complete update and renovation during shutdown 👍

Well that's good news that it's outside, mine is in September and inside except the cocktail hour is outside I don't feel hopeful I just don't know anymore. But you sounds like it's going to be just fine. Good luck to you!!

We are last minute re-planning our wedding for the third time due to Covid restrictions, LOL. It's been an adventure, but changing our date was not a go for us. We are moving forward with a SUPER SCALED DOWN, no frills but ALL THE LOVE elopement/micro-wedding. After we talked deeply about what we really wanted and what was important, at the end of the day we decided the marriage is the important part, not the big party. We are bummed that things have to be different, and we have grieved our original plans, but we have chosen to see it as a lesson in what "real life" will be like after the big day, and how we will roll with the flow together. Life happens, plans get rerouted, some things change and get thrown up in the air, some get tossed out the window. Life throws lemons, but it's how we take the curveballs that counts. We are learning to go with the flow and leave room for Plan B (which is sometimes, what is meant to be)! Smiley heart

I knew that covid was going to be a problem so we are having a backyard wedding at his parents house with all the frills that an indoor wedding has. I am concerned some guests will not come, we will see, some people have been vaccinated or had covid, but with it being outdoors, more people are comfortable. We have 160 guests

I had an appointment with my event planner today, which wasn't my original planner from 2020, and feel so much more confident that everything will still go as planned. Feeling soooo much better. We ALL need to celebrate something good, Right?

I was SUPER stressed when Covid first hit, and we considered cancelling altogether, but eventually we realized that we just had to go with it! My wedding was originally planned for September 2020, and we postponed until May 15, 2021. We ended up eloping on the anniversary of our first date on March 18, 2021. It was great! Our families were supportive of our decision given the circumstances.

We had always planned to have a small backyard wedding celebration with family on the May date, but decided it would best to keep traveling to a minimum. We cut our guest list of 50 people down to 30 people. Most of SO's family lives out of state so we compromised with having another celebration at a later date. We've run into a few bumps, such as losing our original caterer due to the pandemic and having to restrict our already small budget, but we've been lucky to find solutions to make it work for us.
Instead of livestreaming the ceremony, we're recording it ourselves then setting up an area where guests can record their own messages to us in place of a traditional guest book. We'll then incorporate that into a wedding video for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait!
If we've learned anything from this entire process, it is that the best choice is always to do what's best for you and your SO. Stay flexible and remember to focus on today!
