Masks for wedding party

Emma, on July 31, 2020 at 12:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21
I just saw that azazie has face mask to match their dresses. Do you think it would be to “extra” to have my bridesmaids in a facemask that is the sane color of their dress? Here’s there dress color and the facemask color.Masks for wedding party 1
Masks for wedding party 2

Do you think I should do a different color? Our wedding colors are burgundy, navy blue with touches of gold

I think I like it but I’m not 100% sure! 😂 they are only $5 a piece so ordering 4 and then changing my mind wouldn’t be horrible.
I am ordering the guys ties/bow ties (once FH decides which one 🙄) so they match the bridesmaid dresses

I actually just bought some from David’s Bridal that matched the color of their dresses and our moms are using extra material from alterations to get masks made to match. My photographer suggested it so they will look decent in pictures.

As of now I’m unclear if they have to wear them for the ceremony or not. I know for our actual wedding photos they don’t have to but they will have to for the reception.

Face masks are mandatory no matter where you go, so why not match the dresses?

I spoke with our church and I am planning off the assumption that the restrictions won’t change. I have 2 months but I would rather have them and not need them than having to rush to get them fast. They will not wear them for portrait pictures but will have to have them during the ceremony.

I wouldn’t say everywhere, we don’t have to wear them when doing photos, getting ready, or being outside. But I’m not sure about the ceremony. I know me and FH (THANKFULLY!) don’t have to wear them during the ceremony but I’m unsure about the bridesmaids and groomsman

That’s what I’m thinking for ours. I think I’ll go ahead and order them!
We only have 1 groomsmen. He will be wearing navy blue pants, no jacket, a white button up and a burgundy bowtie do you think I should get him a burgundy facemask too?

Better safe than sorry though. In the current environment, I would not be comfortable attending an event where anyone went without a mask for any period longer than eating. Plus unless you live with each of your guests and know for a fact there is 0 risk of anyone being immuno-compromised, I wouldn't tempt that fate by not wearing masks.

I am going with a neutral black or gray for our guys. I am going to pick out their suits this weekend so I will try to match their suit color or just go with black if I can’t find a color that matches their suit.

To each their own. I won’t be wearing a mask at all because of a health condition but my guest know that so if they aren’t comfortable with it they have the option for virtual.

If we had more then one guy I’d get him a navy one. I just don’t want it to look weird with one person in a different color

I am not sure on that one. We are getting the groom, groomsmen, ring bearer and dads all the same color. I am leaning towards black so that they all match.

I love that they match. I've asked our seamstress to use the extra material from my dress and my FH's suit to make our masks.
