Hey guys just wondering what have you guys payed for travel fees?

Say you very much love the makeup work

But how would you feel about paying a travel fee 110$ On top for your trial and a second travel fee 140.00$ for wedding day (this i have no problem with)

I’m paying a $100 travel fee for the wedding but that includes the trial. $250 in travel fees seems excessive to me. I guess you’ll have to decide if you really want this person and if it’s worth it.

I only have to pay a travel fee for the day of. I didn’t pay a travel fee for the trial because I went to them. That seems like a lot, especially for a trial. My travel fee for the wedding is $191 (yikes did not realize that until just now when I went back to check), but that’s for 1 hair stylist and 1 makeup artist.

I have to pay $25 for the travel fee for my hair and makeup artists. I opted not to do a trial day because I already know how I want my makeup and hair.

Since she doesn’t have a studio at the moment and isn’t taking in-her home appointment she’s only doing trial coming to me. I tried mentioning I’m a little at un-ease to pay travel fee for trial in addition to wedding day that’s 250$ just for trial so totaling $620 for trial/wedding day and travel total

Thank goodness I'm a make up artist and can do my own so a bit of a cost saver there. But hair is another story. It's to my tush and thick. Have no idea what to do

I’m paying $30 for my MUA’s travel fee. There won’t be a fee for my trial since I’ll be going to her. It does seem a bit pricey, but if this person is really good and who you want to do your makeup then it’s probably worth it.

It seems since she has decided not to do in home appointments, you shouldnt pay a travel fee for that, it's her decision. I went to my artist for the trial and then for day of, it will be like $25 and it's like an hour+ drive for her.

Wow. That's a little much if you ask me. My HMUA is charging $100 including the trial and there's no travel fee. (I also live in a remote place (Davis, WV) ) Even so I think $250 is a lot

I didn’t pay for a travel fee for trial as I went to her in home studio, but the day of wedding it’s only $20 and that’s for Savannah GA.

I don't think it is fair that she doesn't have a place for you to come to her but she is still charging you a travel fee for your trial. You should not be responsible for her decision in that regard. However, it does make sense she would charge you a travel fee for your wedding since it is expected she would travel to come to you for your wedding. I recommend discussing this with her and sharing how her decision/circumstances should not be your financial responsibility. Explain that you really enjoy her work but the pricing structure is currently not fair.

My HMUA charged a travel fee for anything outside a 50-mile radius; however, my wedding was a semi-DW which was about 2 hours away so instead of paying her travel fee, I paid for her room the night before my wedding so she could be there early in the morning (also invited her to my welcome dinner). This cost was a lot more than her travel fee but I didn't mind doing so because I love my HMUA and have used her for other events and she is amazing.
