Major wedding dress doubt :( :(

AJ, on April 26, 2017 at 10:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 43

So I chose my dress a few months ago after a lot of searching but am now having MAJOR doubts about my choice! I went for something less traditional as I'm only a young bride but I'm now in a total panic I've chosen something far too 'sexy' and a bit tasteless. What do you think? Am I overthinking it or is it inappropriate? I'm not sure how much I could really change it with alterations Smiley sad help!

I absolutely love this! ETA: I don't think it's inappropriate at all. It is a little sexy, but gorgeous and you look fabulous in it in the second pic. What matters is that you're comfortable and happy - it's YOUR day (:

I don't think the dress comes off as too sexy! (Not sure how it fits on you though.) If you want, you can talk to your seamstress to see if they shorten the deep v at the neckline?

ETA: Just saw how it fits on you and you look fantastic in the dress - I wouldn't change a thing!

Not sure if you wanted to post your "real" pic as it looks like your name is showing. But that dress is absolutely GORGEOUS. If you could pull it off, and it looks like you can, I would say go for it! It's stunning!

Omg that dress is beautiful. I don't think it's inappropriate at all. If you're concerned about how deep the plunge is I'd ask a seamstress if they could add some extra lace. But I think it's not too revealing at all!

Your dress is stunning! The only tiny part that anyone could squawk about is the little bit of skin showing between your boobs. You could always have your seamstress add a little modesty panel behind the lace to make it more of a sweetheart vs plunging neckline. I don't really think it's necessary, but if it makes you more comfortable, it's an option! A long veil for your ceremony could also soften the fitted look if that concerns you, but again, it's gorgeous so you can totally rock it!

How exactly is this tasteless? Honestly, one of my favorite dresses I've seen posted here.

This is a beautiful dress. It is sexy, but not over the top or skimpy.

Wow that's a beautiful dress, looks like you can pull it off very well. Sexy, but not trashy, and definitely not tasteless!

That is beautiful! You could always have your alterations person add a little fabric to shallow up the v, but it's gorgeous!

Sorry guys didn't realise the name was posted! It wasn't my picture though so not me wearing it, just one I found on insta! Thank you so much for the reassurance, the reason I suddenly felt panicked is that my friend has seen the dress in a store window and I really dislike it Smiley sad it just doesn't look the same somehow and the plunging neckline looks REALLY prominent compared to when I tried it on! This is the pic she sent me that filled me with doubt...

If I thought it would be flattering on me I would so rock that down the aisle! That's a beautiful dress and it looks great on you.

Mannequins aren't squishy like we are. I wouldn't worry about how it looks on a chunk of plastic with terrible dimensions.
