Lyft or Uber for wedding guests pros and cons

Make guests aware that you are providing this otherwise they will look for their own transportation.

If you are providing a service for your guests, you need to cover the bill. Otherwise guests will rent vehicles on their own as they normally do or use Lyft/Uber on their own.

So I think this type of transportation depends on a few different things:

1. How many drivers are usually available in your area

2. The distance from the hotel to reception... which goes with...

3. The cost of the ride

If there's no drivers readily available then this overall isn't going to work. But you also have to consider how much these rides are going to cost, because it it's normally a $25 ride and you're only covering $5 as a guest I wouldn't be very happy.

In my opinion, if I was planning to take an Uber or Lyft to the reception anyway and the Bride & Groom offered to pay $5 towards it, i would be happy and appreciative! Like others said though, it does depend on how many are available and the distance, etc.
