Yes. I’ve hit mine hard on many things and it gets caught in the dryer door between metal sometimes.
I had my ring inspected by another local jeweler under the microscope or whatever it’s called they use to see it up close and he said it was very well made.
I’m always checking to make sure the main stone isn’t loose. Did you go back to the wall and look? It could be hiding underneath something or in a corner.

If it didn't fall out when you hit it, then it obviously was not lost when it "took a hit", as the jeweler is trying to state. It sounds like a poorly set stone. Unfortunately, if it's not covered under warranty, and the jeweler is not going to take accountability, then you are either going to have to replace it with something you can afford, or just do without. And take this as a learning experience to always ensure valuables right away. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Is it possible that the stone fell out after the hit because it fit loose??

No. The fit has nothing to do with the stone’s setting.

I have been on my knees since early morning in school to find it…. If I knew where it fell it would have helped a lot

Yeah it’s probably a lost cause at this point. It could be anywhere by now … people walking could have kicked it, janitors cleaning overnight could have swept it up/thrown it into the garbage, someone could have found it and kept it. Unfortunately, this is probably just going to be an unfortunate case of “lesson learned”.

    I’m crying 😭

It was the second time I wear it after our proposal and the lost diamond is a 4 carats one not a small diamond

Honestly, I don’t think the size of the diamond matters. My ring was incredibly expensive, but I wouldn’t care at all about that if I lost it. It’s the sentimental value of it that really matters.

I didn’t mean to offend u but I’m very vulnerable now. Imagine how at the morning everyone in school both teachers and students were congratulating me, and at the end of the day go home and do not find my central stone. Also I was upset when u said that it might have been swept by cleaners. No!!! The stone is big and sparkly enough to be recognized!!
