Our wedding has a lot of enchanting fantasy type vibes particularly Lord of the Rings. We’re trying to keep it fairly traditional still though and not trying to go all out geek on our guests lol so I’m trying to figure out ways to incorporate some fantasy renaissance themes in to our wedding that only the fellow geeks at our wedding will appreciate and everyone else won’t bat an eye. So far we plan to have Lord of the Rings songs play for our ceremony music, we got our guestbook from the Renaissance festival it’s a leather bound book with a celtic tree on the front. Our centerpieces are not doing it for me though they’re kind of general, they are just a lantern and some floral with tea candles. I had the idea of including fairy/hobbit doors at each table which I plan to make. They’d be a little larger then the one in the photo. My fiancé was not for the door idea though I think he thinks it’s taking the Lord of the Rings theme too far. What do you think? Yay or nay to the fairy door idea? Or any other ideas that might be better?
