Looking for beach wedding venues in NJ

Nicole, on April 14, 2015 at 11:46 AM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi everyone! I'm new to this site, and I'm looking for a bit of help. I'm looking for a beach wedding wedding somewhere in Jersey (doesn't matter where as long as it's on the beach). Does anyone know of locations that isn't crazy expensive? I'm having small wedding (about 100 or less) and cannot for the life of me find a place! I would appreciate all the help! thank you!

Where have you looked so far? What is your definition of not "crazy expensive?" Does it matter where? There is a big difference distance wise between Long Branch and Cape May...There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of beach venues in NJ so I don't really know where to start naming places without knowing your budget per head. This is just my opinion, but if you are budget conscious then June might not be the best time to get married at the Jersey shore.

Uhm, I've pretty much been look all over NJ/PA. anywhere on a beach. Since its about 100 people (for now) and I was looking for an all inclusive place, I was looking to try to keep the entire wedding between 7-10k. I picked June for weather reasons and it falls on a Friday so I thought that would help out the price as usual. I'm pretty open to locations, just the pricing seems to be the issue! (Isn't it always?) But any help is much appreciated!

I hate to burst your bubble but 7-10k won't even cover your venue in NJ for 100 people if you want an all inclusive on the beach, even on a Friday, especially in June. I think the Mill at Spring lake heights offers a brunch wedding package that is more affordable. I can't think of any others that were less than $100pp when I was doing research. Cut your guest list, choose a date off season, or consider renting a hall, buying your own alcohol, and getting catering from a local restaurant if you don't want to change the first 2 or increase your budget. I am more familiar with central nj shore towns. You might have better luck farther south or looking inland.

I always dreamed of being married on the beach especially being born and raised on the jersey shore. That dream went away very fast when Fiance and I were starting to look at venue's. We're getting married June 4, 2016. I agree with @Jacqui722 for 7-10k you won't find anything on the beach for 100 ppl. All the places on the beach wanted to charge $140pp or more some prices didn't even include the service and gratuity charge. We also had a starting budget of 15K for everything. That slowly went away as well. Once everything is said and done we will probably have spent close to 30k including the honeymoon.

    Nicole,

You can have the wedding of your dreams at The Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor. You rent the venue and hire the caterers of YOUR choice. We just joined weddingwire.com as we are the best kept secret at the shore.

LBI has a lot of options including beach front and even venues. There are multiple choices based on your budget. Give me a shout and I can point you in the right direction.
