Looking at Venues

So my fiancée and I decided on short notice that we’d rather have a small ceremony than go to the courthouse like we planned. We’ve been going back and forth about having a larger wedding down the road, but decided we’d be happier with a small one now.
We’re looking at about 3 months out, which is a little stressful, but totally doable. I’m going to look at my first venue today with my mom, and I’m a little nervous about it because I haven’t found a second venue that I like/fits our budget.

Has as anyone ever only visited one venue? Is that a good idea? Even if I like it, should I keep looking for another to view as well?
Im a little worried about taking too much time with this, but at the same time I don’t want to be too hasty either.

If you like the venue and they are doing the food have a tasting before signing a contract. The venue could be awesome and budget friendly but have crappy meals.

How did your venue visit go on Saturday? Did you like the venue?
I hope you don’t feel too anxious about booking your venue as it won’t feel like a hasty decision once you have found the one that you and your FS love.
What style of venue are you looking for?

I loved the venue! The only thing I’m hesitant about now is it being outdoors in August....I’ve talked to my FS, MOH and mother, everyone says it shouldn’t be an issue, but they haven’t quite convinced me yet.

Otherwise, the style of the venue was perfect! They have a food vendor that we might use, but their policies are very open and there’s no fees for me hiring someone else or even bringing my own food (or anything else for that matter). This venue is absolutely perfect, I’m just worried about the heat now.

I only visited two venues, but I knew my first venue was the one I was getting married at. I just knew. The only reason I held out was because the second venue was my favorite favorite one, but they were super rude and ridiculously expensive!

I only looked at two venues, both on the same day. We needed to decide pretty quickly because they only had our date available for all of spring and had a cancellation. We both loved it so much, we decided to go for it!

I only looked at 2. Once I saw the first venue in person I knew I didn’t want to get married there. The second venue was amazing which we booked otherwise I would look until I found what I loved.
