When I went to David's Bridal to try on wedding dresses they gave me a longline bra with a bodice (I think that's what it is called) to use when I tried on the gown. It is like a strapless bra but goes all the way down to my waist. I do not like this. It looked ok under the dress but IMO is very uncomfortable and because I am short it bunches and creates "ripples" at my waste giving the illusion that I have belly rolls. Can I just wear a normal strapless bra? How many of you are wearing a regular bra vs a longline? Is there an advantage to wearing a longline bra? TIA!

@ ladylee: Thanks! I really appreciate the input. I'm going to look into the longline but I'm leaning towards just the cups sewn in

I"m wearing just a regular strapless bra and having cups sewn into my dress... with out them my chest looks totally flat! I think you can wear whatever... If you get the it sized right like Analy said, it will pull everything in if you are worried about that... but your dress is a corset back so that shouldn't be a problem anyways..

Teresa.. for your bridesmaids just get a strapless bra that can have a low back.. i work at victoria's secret and we have a convertable strapless bra that has a low back option.. our shapewear is also getting redone to provide a better look and fit.. its online so check it out ladies.. might be cheaper than db Smiley smile as for me.. im on the never ending quest for a blue one..

Yeah we stuck the cups in there and it gave me just the right about of "lift" (the other reason I wanted the Flattering Me) lol

This is the bra I got to go with my dress:

    In Buff.

But, it works with my dress.

I am going bra-less in the wedding because it works the best with my dress actually but I have one of those bras and I wear it quite regularly. I'm rather busty so I like it over the average strapless because it supports me all the way from the stomach so I don't feel like my girls are flopping everywhere and I don't feel like I'm going to be giving any free shows. And I even wear it with street clothes. But I have kind of a long torso so I can see how it might look bunchy if your torso is short...
