Long Island wedding venue recommendations

Private User, on August 7, 2012 at 1:54 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I am looking for a venue in Long Island that is trendy, grounds to take photos, ceremony area and not too far from Brooklyn. I don't want to pay more then $150 per person. So far the only venue I liked is Chateau Briand, do you have any recommendations? My wedding will have about 200 guest.

I'm in Staten Island and we didnt hit any of the long Island venues mostly because of traffic reasons but we LOVEDDDDD westmount country club in Jersey...the cocktail room was more of a lounge feel with an awesome bar (didn't feel like a hall)...i saw your previous posts about Addison Park and Palace...I heard some friends not like Palace beacuse of the way they were treated. We looked at Addison too really liked it but I wasn't crazy about the rooms being across from each other. It's going to be really hard to find a place in June for 150...We originally wanted November but now that is even considered "in season" and the prices were crazy...after calling the halls to get quotes for Feb it was wayyyy cheaper (ex. Naninnas in the Park wanted 310 for Nov and 150 for Feb)

Chateau Briand is very nice. Some venues you may want to look into out in Long Island are Crest Hollow Country Club, Jericho Terrace, The Inn at New Hyde Park, Sand Castle. A friend of mine just booked her wedding at Sand Castle and their rates were very reasonable for a Saturday wedding. If you live in Brooklyn, you may want to look at the Vanderbilt in Staten Island (near the Verrazano Bridge). We just recently shot a wedding there. The wedding ceremony was outside and absolutely breathtaking and the hall is very nice too.

Below is a link so you can get a feel for a wedding there.

I hope you found your wedding venue - I know you were deciding between 2 locations and I have not had the honor of shooting at either location as of yet.

As a photographer I like to try and photograph at as many venues in NY as possible and since I have not shot at either of these I would like to offer you my services at a very reduced rate.

www.CordeliaDananPhotography.com has samples of my work. I would be willing to take 25% off any of the wedding packages for you which includes the free engagement shoot. All of my prices are all ready under $900 so this might be a great way for you to save some cash and use it for more important things - like enjoying your honeymoon!

Let me know if you are interested. I can be reached at 631-456-7930.

Thank you and congratulations on your wedding!

I recommend Leonard's Palazzo for all of you who are planning to get married in Long Island. I had my wedding on November 29. The food was great – no complaints. The maitre d’ was great – very reliable and took our every need, made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything in order. The staff was on point. My wedding was a night to remember. I highly recommend Leonard’s and would book another event there in the future. Visit www.leonardspalazzo.com and contact them for prices.
