PrincessBride7823, on June 9, 2021 at 5:22 AM Posted in Community Conversations 2 48
Is anyone else having a long engagement?? He asked me to marry him on 5/20/21 which was our two year anniversary but we wanna wait until I’m done with my bachelors degree in the spring of 2023. It’s a 23 month engagement 💖

Been Engaged since late summer 2020 and won’t be married until fall 2022.

Long Engagements give you a lot to discuss, figure out and execute. Early congrats on your Degree 🥂🎉

Been engaged since September 2019 and not getting married until October 2022. Gives you time to save up and plan!

Got engaged in September 2019 and marrying in May 2022, so almost 31 months. But we delayed because of coronavirus. If we hadn't, it would have been 19 months which is maybe above average but not "long"

We planned for a one year engagement, but thanks to covid it will now be a three year engagement.

Not a COVID bride, still had a 2+ year engagement. A little less than 2.5 years.

We had almost a full 2 year engagement, got engaged in late November 2019 and are getting married early November 2021. It worked for us because we could spread out our payments and really take the time to plan what we wanted.

We are going to have a lil over a two year engagement. I honestly love having a long engagement. It made it to where I'm not going to be stressed out by the end. Made wedding planning fun.

We had a non-COVID related long-ish engagement. Engaged October 2019, married April 2021. I loved having time to figure things out, find the vendors we wanted, and most importantly save up money! Good luck with planning and finishing school!

We got engaged in April 2019 and our wedding is a October 2021, so that’s a 30 month engagement for us! I was pregnant though so that’s a big reason we waited. But honestly the time flies and so it hasn’t felt that long at all! And it’s been nice to have a lot of time to figure out what we want and not have to rush to make any decisions on anything!

I personally don’t think it’s too long! It gives you more time to deal with what can be stressful to plan. Ours will be a 21 month engagement (and we’re getting married right before our 10 year anniversary because we’re high school sweethearts 😂). We got engaged in December 2020 and getting married in August 2022. We spaced it out so much so that we’d have time to save money and we didn’t want to have a COVID wedding.

Congratulations! I hope you have a great pregnancy! Our son will be 2yrs and 1 month old exactly on our wedding day, so kinda worried for the terrible 2’s to kick in 😂 but glad our son gets to be there on our special day!

We got engaged July of 2020, and our wedding isn't until Jan. 2022! Def. nothing wrong with a long engagement. We're glad we decided on it since COVID restrictions are lifting in our area, and we're almost back to normal here! Plus, we get more time to save up money!!

Love this! We’re planning for a date 5 years down the road and just gathering up what if ideas for our hopeful future wedding.
