Long distance/long engagement/closing the gap

How is everyone dealing with being in an ldr an wedding planning? We chose a long engagement to make sure we had a majority of things in order.
He will be coming down in September to look at my dream venue but of course it is up to him if he like it or not.
He also wants to talk more about planning and what not in person.

My friend was engaged to this girl in Asia and so she did all the planning herself there but she would just webcam him about things. It was an entirely long distance relationship he kind of just let her decide things but just told her what he would like

Thank you it's in Townsend Tennessee it's like 52 acres of mountains an forest it's just breathtaking in my opinion. Close to the smoky mountains national park.

It has been pretty good. Trying to narrow down some places. We are going to look at a couple places next month when he comes to visit. Still trying to figure out what to do afterwards.
