Lipstick on your wedding day

Future Mrs., on August 19, 2016 at 2:12 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

Im going back and forth about wearing lipstick on my wedding day because I am worried about it transferring when I kiss my husband. I never wear lipstick anyway and was thinking about just not wearing any but I kind of want to try some non transferring lipsticks. Any suggestions on good lipsticks that don't transfer or should I just go without it?

I think you should definitely wear lipstick and try a matte lipstick. I always wear matte lipstick and it never transfers even when I eat it stays on. You can check MAC or Sephora or ask your MUA if you are having one.

My favorite brand is thebalm cosmetics, specifically the meet matte hughes collection- I tried a bunch of different brands and for me it lasts the longest and doesn't transfer.

If you have a good MUA they'll make sure to use a brand where this doesn't happen. I had a red lip on my wedding day and FH did not come out of the ceremony looking like the cat from pepe le pew.

Motives has a new line of lipstick that does not come off. I love their makeup!

I'm definitely going with a bolder lipstick even though I rarely wear any at all. One regret I hear a lot of is how washed out brides look in their photographs without it. I'm fair without it and any shade of white is going to make that worse so brightening things with a bold lip will help

Please wear some lip color on your wedding day! With photos, you don't want to look washed out. There are plenty of formulas that won't transfer, like others have suggested, mattes tend to be pretty good.

You need SOMETHING on your lips, otherwise you will look washed out. As others have said, LIP STAIN is gonna change your life lol.

Lip stain is the route you want to go - the color stays on your lips and you can just add a gloss as needed on top throughout the night to keep it shiny/moist.

Go with a matte lipstick like colourpop, Anastasia Beverly hills liquid lipstick or even the Kylie lipkit. They all have great colors and great formulas that don't transfer.

I just suggested this on another thread: I'm planning on wearing Colourpop's lippie pencil (lip liner) in Contempo by itself. I do it all the time and it is completely matte and transfer proof! It only starts to get dry on the very inside of my lips after about 5-6 hours. Then I add a tiny bit of balm and smush my lips together (don't rub, just sorta smack them) and it's good to go for another 5 hours, though a little less transfer proof after that... Look into wearing just a lip liner alone Smiley smile
