Lip Stain

<3 Future Mrs Wells <3, on June 3, 2011 at 11:30 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I always see in posts that everyone is using lip stain for the wedding so I just assumed that that was the name brand or whatever. But now that I am looking every brand has a lip stain so which one is the best?

I like Cover Girl lipstain. But you do need to make sure your lips are moisturized and not at all chapped - for some reason chapped lips REALLY show with lipstain.

I used Revlon's Just Bitten lip stain. On one end is the stain and on the other is a moisturizing balm. The stain lasts a really long time, but the balm doesn't, so I had to reapply the balm a lot. I liked it though.

I love Maybelline's Super Stay 24 color and Revlon's Just Bitten Both have the moisturizing balm on the opposite side from the color and both seem to stay for a really long time. I agree that it feels very dry without the balm so make sure you carry it for touch ups or have your favorite balm close by

Lip stain is very dry looking so lots of them come with a moisurizing balm like the other ladies mentioned. The ones from Cover Girl and Revlon aren't too pricy (look for coupons in the Sunday paper) so you can try them out and see which ones you like.

Revlon's Just Bitten is very good for a drugstore stain, but overall I'm not a big fan of stains. For my brides, I tend to use MAC Pro Longwear lip colors (both the lipstick ones and the color on one side, gloss on the other one) and Jane Iredale Lip Fixation. I also highly recommend a product from Face Atelier called Lip Lock, which can be applied over any lipcolor and keeps it on FOREVER.

I've used the CoverGirl Lip Stain...and I looked like a clown. Worst part was I couldn't get it off =P So, make sure you test test test which colors work for you.

I agree with Catherine. MAC's Pro Long wear line is one of my favorites and Stays on FOREVER. If your looking for a drugstore alternative Revlon COLORSTAY OVERTIME LIPCOLOR is very comparable to it. Also, can also get lipstick Airbrushed on with a Water Resistant formula if your getting your Makeup Airbrushed. Congrats and hope this helps xoxoxo

I used the just bitten one as well. I used it for my aunts wedding in vegas.. I like it because it gives you the color, but when I kiss FH it doesn't leave lip prints on him Smiley tongue

I'm not much of a lipstick wearer though.. I only use chapstick when I absolutely have to.. But I want a little color for the wedding, so I will probably get a light pink lip stain

Just had my makeup trial yesterday (feel free to view my thread with pics) and my stylist used lipstick, a lipstain and a tiny bit of gloss. Think the colors she used were MAC lipstick (Verve), Aveda lipstain (Verbena) and Aveda lipgloss (forget the color...a pink of some sort). My lips get pretty chapped but I use Fresh lip scrub and Aveda lip renewing treatment....am addicted to the lip renewing treatment! Makes my lips super-soft. Smiley smile
