Lightinthebox.com Wedding Dress

detailedplanner, on April 29, 2009 at 1:25 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Has anyone recently bought a dress from here? I would love to know your experiences, good and bad! Of course its one of those sites they warn you about, from china, etc. You can't beat their prices. I've read some previous posts from others on some of the older postings. I just want some more recent transactions. I really love one of the dresses on there and you can't beat the price.

I'm not a fan of purchasing gowns online. I'm not familiar with this site. If you prefer accountability then I would choose a local site that is reputable. Often with online purchases like that, you have no guarantee of what you are getting. Other brides on here have had good things to say about e-bay so you can try them. Good Luck

Try calling Pearls Place in Louisiana. I live in PA and will probably order my dress from there because they are giving me the best deal...better than online!!! They will ship the dress to me and I just ned to find someone to alter it, which you would have to do anyway ordering it online. I looked into online, but really heard a lot of nightmares, so with Pearls Place being an actual Bridal Salon you aren't ordering online. Unless I get a better deal from a place up my way, I'll order from Pearl's. Also, if you get their price for the dress you want - you could always barter for the price closer to your home.

I asked my designer about them. He said they have a good reputation. He also told me to remind you that they make the dress as a second skin if you will to fit the sizes you give them, so he suggested adding 1/2 in to 1 inch on your measurements so you can dance and what not in your gown and to leave room for your undergarments depending on the type you are wearing. I suggest if you decide to go with them to order sooner then you would normally to ensure your gown in here in a timely fashion in case the dress ends up being too tight you can have it taken out or returned.

    Best Wishes,

I haven't heard of this one! But I ordered mine from peridress.com, same sort of company from china, I actually ordered 2, and my sister got her dress from here too! They offer free shipping and come in about 3 weeks.

    Good luck

I almost bought my BM dresses from there! I found alot of reviews, and the majority were actually pretty good. Contact them first (you get to speak to a real person!) and talk to them about the return policy in case it doesn't work out. Make sure your measurements are correct and try on a similar dress at a bridal store to make sure you love the cut/look. I would order as soon as possible, that way if it doesn't work out you still have time to return it and buy somewhere else.

My daughter sold her dress to another bride online and if you keep communication open, you can make successful transactions. Both wound up saving $900.

We got bridesmaid dresses from this site. Be aware that shipping takes like 20 days from the day you order. Dresses look very nice. They seem to fit everyone, but are a bit tight. I would suggest ordering a slighlty bigger size.
