Lets talk flowers, fake and real. How much do you spend?

Sydney, on October 16, 2019 at 9:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 18

Hello everyone, I have been looking at my flower options and I want to hear your opinions fake or real? If you go fake, where did you get them and what material were they? I have seen some pretty wood flowers online and I am considering those. How much did it cost if you paid for real flowers?

Hi! Here is my bouquet. It is fake and made with silk flowers. I got It from budget bride .com and paid 230$ for it. It was discounted with a sale but I cant remember what the exact price was after discount. Price wise fake flowers can be just as expensive as real flowers. They can also be cheaper it depends on where you go. I chose to go with fake flowers for the specific reason that my favorite flower the dahlia doesn’t grow in December. I knew for a fact that I was going to go the silk flower route before even looking for flowers. I also knew that I wanted To incorporate gold.

I want real but don't have the budget for it so we are going to strip down a tree in our front yard (gorgeous long twigs with lots of leafs) and buy some either bulk fresh flowers or go to like trader joes or something and get a couple of bouqets to place randomly. We are forcusing on greenery minus our bouquets/boutineers

I didn't do any floral centerpieces. I did flowers that were fake for the bouquets and boutonnieres and corsages only. I got the bouquets from Michael's. And I got the others from ebay

We did real flowers. My bouquet was $275, bridesmaid bouquets were $100 each, boutonnières were $25 each, wrist corsages $40 each, and centerpieces $160 each.

We went with Sola Wood flowers. We ordered them loose online and my mom and a few of my friends helped me put together the arrangements and the bouquets. They're great because you can keep them forever. My bouquet is currently proudly sitting on top of a cabinet. My bridesmaids have theirs in vases in the houses as well.

Where did you buy the sola flowers? I am trying to find a good vendor so I can buy it in bulk.

I thought about fake flowers, but I don't want them to look fake. The boquets cost as much as real flowers. I am actually planning on making my own (simple) boquets with carnations. At one florist shop the bridal boquet was $250. Normal price I guess, but I really can't afford to spend that much.

I did fake flowers through budget bride. They cost less than $500 for everything. They are made of various fabrics.

I’m using real flowers only because we are close to many Amish farms. The Amish flower shop near us is doing all bouquets (6 bridesmaids, bridal, and toss bouquet), the corsages (4), boutonnières (13), and flowers for the church altar for $556. I can’t even do silk cheaper than that. They quoted me $12/mason jar center piece. At the time, I wasn’t sure about center pieces so I didn’t order them but I plan to add them on. Should be under $700 for all of my fresh flowers.

i know I have a unique advantage but many friends have told me Sam’s club does great flowers for a reasonable price.

I did fake flowers! My mom made my bouquet, 5 BM bouquets, FH's boutonniere, 5 GM boutonnieres, 5 family corsages and 4 family boutonnieres and we spent less than $150! Granted, my mom also used a fake flower bouquet and we incorporated her bouquet into mine, but added a lot too. We shopped sales at Hobby Lobby and the biggest surprise was that we found gorgeous, high quality flowers at Dollar Tree! The ones we got at Dollar Tree look extremely real. We saved so much money on florals! Plus my bouquet will never die and if I have a daughter someday, I could pass my bouquet on to her like my mom did for me! Smiley smile

I bought them mostly from solawoodflowers.com. I wouldn't buy from them again after my last order. I had really bad experience but it looks like they have a change in ownership and things are running smoothly for them.

I also bought from luvsolaflowers.com. Their flowers were a bit more expensive but the quality of the flowers makes it clear why.

I purchased these silk flowers on etsy. I have myself, 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen, the groom, fathers and mothers and only paid $487 plus tax for everything!
