I'm not sure if this has been asked before but I'm very interested in everyone's food choices. What dishes are you offering?

No cocktail hour food ideas yet. Maybe nothing. We're not going to take hours to take photos and I'm not bothered if people start eating while we're taking photos. We're not having drinks, except for home-brewed beer.

Food: barbecue smoked on-site. Pulled pork, brisket, turkey breast, sausage, and maybe game meat.

Sides: Cole slaw, potato salad, green salad.

    Dessert - Cake.

I agree with Future_Mrs_D. Those options sound yummy.

I think it's about time me and hubby start narrowing down our food choices.

My FH is a fisherman, so he caught some salmon and smoked it for appetizers. We will do smoked salmon with all the stuff that goes with it, fruit and cheese, and a good friend has a sushi restaurant so his gift is sushi for appetizers as well. Dinner is NY steak, and more grilled salmon (caught by FH and best man), Cesar salad, green beans, and bread from a local bakery from our farmers market.

I love food posts. For our cocktail hour we had ahi tuna on wontons with a wasabi aoli and another sauce, jumbo shrimp cocktail with a spicy cocktail sauce. For dinner: tri-tip with an amazing au jus sauce, chicken with artichoke hearts, capers, onions, olives and tomatoes in a garlic wine sauce, herb roasted red potatoes, penne bologenese, Caesar salad, rolls and vegetable piave. For dessert, we had our 3 tier wedding cake and a sheet cake in the back.

We had a small wedding/reception and kept the fare simple. We did a buffet of salmon and chicken kabobs, green beans almondine and carrot souffle with baby stuffed potatoes. It was so yummmy! I still dream about that carrot souffle.....
