Invites have been received...two already posted on social media, and one "Why didn't I get one?!" question asked. Joy.

So, where's my invite? Why didn't I get one? Maybe it's delayed cause of the snow storm. It's coming I know...

Hmmm, that felt awkward even as a joke. What the hell is wrong with people!

One of my friends put our Save The Date on Insta and a girl I really don't care for was like, "I better be your date!" Uh no, you're not invited. Go away now.

Emma: that actually happened to me too, but it was a guy that asked to go with one of my girlfriends. He was my EX'S roommate and I even hated him them. No kid, I don't want you at my wedding.

See I wouldn't want to exclude an entire group of people we love just to avoid drama. Our wedding wouldn't be the same without our friends, who are like family to us. Just because we can't invite everyone doesn't mean we shouldn't invite ANYONE.

Yikes! I'm knocking on wood as I say this but SO FAR SO GOOD. Silly me... I posted a pic of completed Invites on Insta and it links to FB. Didn't think this was a SILLY idea until after all was said and done. Thankfully, no issues yet. However, a friend/co-worker who is a makeup artist and I did a trial with said and I quote, "If I do your makeup, I better be invited to your Wedding!" Lol YIKES! Hence, I still have not chosen a make-up artist.

Yeah, we ran in to that a few times. Best chance is to just delete the comments (if they're on your page), and/or ignore it all together. You know what your budget is, so I wouldn't even waste time feeling bad/guilty about anyone you can't invite. There's a lot of entitlement that comes out in random people when the word "wedding" gets passed around.

The worst one for me was we sent STD out to out of town people and family that has to have travel arrangements (ie flights) and the people we knew needed to arrange their vacation schedules a year in advance. A couple people posted something on facebook, and I had a couple friends get super hurt and angry that they didn't get one, go around comparing with other friends, and then send me nasty messages...ugh

Honestly I would privately contact the person who posted it and ask them to take it down. People just don't think before they post!

I had a few people mention my STD and some posted the picture of it on FB, I haven't received anyone saying 'why wasn't I invited" there is one girl that I was very good friends with and almost asked her to stand up in our wedding, but then she started hanging out with my FH's ex wife and they are now BFF's so I had to cut her. Is it awkward, yes, but no way I do not want to have her at the wedding, texting details to her new BFF.

I've actually been fortunate that no one posted our save the date and no one has made any comments about invites yet! My invites should be in the mail when I get home and I'm sending them out this week, but definitely not posting about it. The only person who has said anything about "they better be invited" was someone who was already on the list anyways. Even then though, it's kind of a weird thing to say to somebody.

It is weird. There were some people that I thought about inviting but wasn't sure about that I got the "I better be invited" comment from. I ended up inviting a couple of them. It's just strange that our guest list is so small, but some of the people coming are people I haven't seen in a good while. We will see if they show up!

Haha yeah, i've had two people say I better be invited, neither of whom are! I'm sorry high school friend, but we haven't spoken in 3 years, therefore, no you aren't invited! haha
