I got married early September and I did really enjoy my day and the things which bugged me a bit in the days following have kind of been pushed to the side by jaded happy memories ( not a bad thing IMO ). I was a pretty go with the flow bride and chose not to let the things that went wrong ruin my day. That being said I do still feel my wedding planners let me down a bit and I'm unsure how to handle the situation. At the end of the day I feel I paid them a very large chunk of change to give me 3 vendor recommendations, help with a few ideas and put out a few items on the day of . Perhaps I was wrong in my expectations of them I am really unsure they have all stellar 5 start ratings and my entire family wasn't thrilled with their performance.

Oh one more bit of unprofessional behavior- it was an out door ceremony and photos were taken outside, my dress acted like bug netting. I am not a fan of bugs but just kept my cool. A bee got trapped and I just said I am extremely allergic, my BM helped get it out. Then while bustling my wedding planner was helping me get a few small ones out literally shrieked and ran then came back and was like sorry, my MUA rolled her eyes and said I've got this and calmly helped me with the other adjustments. I don't like bugs, most women don't but come on shrieking and running away from a bride who spent thousands of dollars for your help in crisis is not the way to go about it!

Thanks! And you don't sound even close to being a bridezilla, honestly...the fact that you're trying to decide how to proceed with this is proof! Your age, your budget, your family; none of that has anything to do with the fact that she signed on to do a job and failed miserably. It's great that you had other great pros to step in; I'd let them know (if they don't already) how disappointed you were in her performance. If they work with her regularly, they should know what a frack up she is; I know I'd never want to be associated with a planner this obtuse. Not only would it make my day miserable on the day of the wedding, but I just wouldn't want to be part of her camp....

I wouldn't advocate getting onto the lawsuit path, but she needs to know it's a very real possibility. Your mom will probably calm down a bit when she hears rave reviews about the wedding, because it sounds like everything else went well.

I think Bunnylove meant the tip should be some good advice from a client she disappointed....

Wow. D: I definitely hope that you leave that type of review for them because if I were looking at planners, that would sway me away. Planners are not cheap, and I have the same "hand holding" package as you. My planner usually gets back to me within days and has handled everything. I would lose my cool if that all happened on the day of.
