Late Night Wedding Venues?

Leannaq, on September 4, 2018 at 2:18 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11
My fiancé is from Europe and European weddings typically rage on, all night long and into the wee hours of the morning. We want a place that's romantic and elegant and beautiful, but where we wouldn't all be forced to pack it in at 11pm-midnight because I know all of his friends and guests will be confused and disappointed by that. Anybody have any ideas?

You can always follow up at your hotel if yours has a bar ..I recommend booking rooms so your loved ones dont have to drive

Usually, the reasons venues make people leave by midnight is for noise violations. So I'd look for venues on ranches or other acreage so there aren't any neighbors nearby to complain!

As noted above, noise ordinances and other local laws are the reasoning things typically end at 11pm or midnight.

We are going to a local landmark (Ben's chili bowl) after our reception is over to keep the party going at the after party. We probably won't stay the whole time. We aren't doing formal invites. Just spreading by word of mouth. We are paying for the snacks at the after party but, not the drinks.

Look into resorts or places with no close neighbors! It’ll be hard to find this if you’re planning on getting married in a city, but as other PPs have said you can always do an “after party”!

We had an after party at one of the bars in the hotel. I honestly have no idea how late it went, we only stayed for about an hour and a half but plenty of people were still there and they could just walk back up to their rooms.

A place that is a bar could stay open later. Maybe rent out a restaurant with a bar that typically stays open late?

We have the same issue as FH and all of his friends are used to weddings going late. We've rented a large house for the bridal party to stay at for the weekend which will host the after party after we have to leave the reception at 12. We have hired shuttle busses to get people safely there but they will have to cab home after.

Hi, I have the same problem and was just wondering what you ended up going with? Were you able to find a late night venue? Or a rental house on airbnb?
