Late night snack-pizza?

Amber Erin, on October 4, 2015 at 11:35 AM Posted in Planning 0 27

Hello! We are doing the traditional sit down dinner, but when I go to weddings, after dancing the night away, I have to stop for food on the way home. I was wondering how you all would feel as guests if pizza (not dominos/pizza hut, but authentic pizza), was delivered later in the evening. Checking to see if this is a good idea or if it would just be more of a waste of money. We are of course doing cake, but I find that I'm still hungry even after that haha. Thanks in advance!

We did smokies at 11 pm and it was awesome! But our wedding went until 1 am which is very common for Canadian weddings haha

I've heard of alot of brides doing things like this later at night as a snack. And... pizza! Who doesn't love pizza! Go for it!

We all know generally pizza's frowned upon as the main meal (though personally it wouldn't bother me), but as a late night snack, go for it! Pizza is awesome Smiley laugh

I think it's a great idea. We did mini burgers, sweet potato fries, and mini mac & cheese as late night snacks and they were a big hit with guests.

We're doing a French fry bar later in the evening. I think it's a great idea!

The few weddings I've been to that did late night, it was incredibly popular. The most fancy one was a big, 500 person formal event and they did pizza (though the venue not delivery) but there was a line as soon as it got put out, everyone loved it! Our evening will end around the fire, so I think we're going to go really low-key and have pizzas from the local shop delivered and just put out on a table. Who doesn't like pizza, especially after a night of drinks and dancing

Heck yeah! Pizza would be awesome. We're doing late night snacks too, mini grilled cheeses and pulled pork biscuit sliders.

We're doing pizza as a late night snack. People seriously cannot wait. One couple who are going to have a 3 week old baby at the time are planning to leave, get the baby to bed then come back in shifts to have pizza. I'm thinking it is going to be a big hit.

I went to a wedding this year where they had pizza as a late night snack and it was great! If you can swing it I would definitely recommend.

We did pizza as a late night snack and our guests loved it! I would order less than your total number of guests though, as some people will leave before it's time for late night snack. We had 115 people and ordered pizza for 75, which ended up working out really well.

Definitely do it! In fact, you might have inspired me to change my mind on late night snacks myself. Pizza sounds amazing.

If I was at your wedding, you'd be my favorite bride EVER! FSIL had chicken wings about an hour or two before the reception ended, and it was glorious haha.
