Last Minute Questions for Venue!

Rachel, on February 20, 2014 at 1:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Ladies. I have almost two weeks. Tomorrow, mom and I are going for our last meeting at Loews Madison Hotel (our venue) and meeting with our coordinator. I have started a list of last minute questions. I wanted to get opinions on any questions you guys can think of that you would ask your coordinator or venue last minute to make sure everything is covered. Here is what I got so far:

1) Tipping – What would Scott do? For reals! Who do I give the envelopes to?

2) Final hotel list to determine the number of guest bags

3) Table set up, numbers, and can we do 13 at a table?

4) Where will the first look be?

5) Will he be coordinating when pictures and first look start with photo/video?

6) Will he be coordinating the walking down the aisle?

8) Will there be a coat person?

11) Food for the bridal suite and Brandon’s room? Breakfast? Mimosas?

12) Will you pick up the table cards of the people who do not show so I can call and harass them???? JOKE

Give the coordinator a list with contact info for all of your vendors in case they are late or he needs to get ahold of them to confirm any details.

Timeline- is your coordinator making this (if it is a professional coordinator yes, venue coordinator probably not) If not then you need to make a timeline and provide a copy to him. Verify who will be in charge for everything on that timeline. (Set up, clean up, telling you where to be when, any announcements...)

Give him a list of your processional walk order (order everyone is coming down the aisle) if he is coordinating this. That way it is easy for him to get everyone lined up and in order.

Give him a list of all your guests and their table numbers/seats and a diagram of how you want the tables arranged. If he is setting this up but also it is beneficially if for example a mistake is made on the escort cards and someone can't find their spot.

@Kelsey - Great suggestions. I have some of that covered already but not the list of vendors and names. Thanks.
