Las Vegas Wedding Venue and After Ceremony Dinner

el10717, on March 4, 2017 at 9:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Has anyone had a Las Vegas Wedding? Particularly at a venue like the Flamingo or Tropicana? I really like the pictures of the Tropicana's Terrace location and think it would be beautiful for pictures, but I won't be able to visit before my wedding. We are having a small wedding about 15 guests and are also not sure what to do about a nice dinner afterwards, does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I'm planning a Vegas wedding. My issue with Tropicana was that I had to speak with them 4 times to get an email with menus for a reception, and then they didn't even include all of their reception venues, just 2 of them. And I couldn't get flamingo to reply to me about their splash pool weddings and receptions, they did send me the packages for the other though.

Go to Ceaser's website and under their wedding page I think there's a button to request an inquiry. You can then send your info to Planet Hollywood, Ceasers, The Linq, and Flamingo all at once and I'm sure they'd help you out. Also if it's this October I'd try and speed up your search a little. For destination weddings you don't want to send your save the dates or invites too late since people sometimes have to use their vacation days for your wedding.

Our wedding is at Caesars palace. The Venus garden and dinner reception at Rao's.

We went to check it out last month in person. Everything's lovely. It's not easy planning like I thought it would be.

Truthfully, I hadn't even planned on sending save the dates since our wedding is so small and only family. Should I be sending them? They have known from the start that we wanted to get married in Vegas so I have been keeping them in the loop about the date we are trying to work out.

Of course Caesars is the only place my fiancé does not want to get married at, LOL! But their venues look absolutely gorgeous from what I have seen online.

Sour shoes - you are so right, I was hoping this would make it easier on me cause I definitely did not want to plan a big, local wedding but if anything it is harder! How many guests are you having?

Be careful with Ceasers. I was just there in January and they are doing major hotel renovations. It was awful from the 15th floor up. There were periods with no water or dirty water. The sounds of jackhammers was horrific! The pools were actually closed due to the possibility of falling debris. They wouldn't allow guest to even walk outside there. I think the renovations are supposed to go on most of this year. I was disappointed. They never said a word to us beforehand.

My sister did her small reception at a private room at Maggiano's ... it was beautiful! They were very helpful and I think their packages run about $75-$80 PP including unlimited alcohol (maybe unlimited wine & beer not full bar) can't remember... but the room was beautiful and even had a balcony

Maybe since your guest count is so small and they've all been informed, save the dates aren't necessary. I'm not sure if the etiquette in that situation. Planet hollywood has a nice package with an in suite reception. Maybe even Chapel of the Flowers (which I think is ran by the same people as Tropicana). I think I read some horror story reviews on either Tropicana or Flamingo but I can't remember which so make sure you read the reviews before deciding. Good luck Smiley smile

I was at Caesars in February. They're resurfacing the pool area for the season and I believe they're upgrading the palace tower. I'm not totally sure about that but I will find out before September lol.

Our guest list is 100. My best guess is we'll actually have 50 or so people. This is my second wedding. My first was big with all the bells and whistles and local. By far that was easier to plan than this.

    Just FYI

Aria has a great wedding package as does Mirage.

Check out the Mandarin Oriental! Also, I follow a really awesome wedding planner on Instagram based out of Vegas. Andrea Eppolito I believe is her name.

I'm planning my wedding at Paris Las Vegas--also a ceasar's property. Once you get the chapel booked you can reach out to some of the restaurants on the property for private dining options. It's been hard for us to nail things down just because we're waiting on our guest count to get a little more settled before we book our reception but we've made some good contacts and have a few options in mind. It really is better to plan sooner rather than later and isn't as easy-breezy as I'd thought!

Im getting married in Vegas but we are focusing on fremont st/downtown area. We're expecting close to 100 guests. We looked into Maggianos for our rehearsal dinner of about 25 people and were told there was a food and bev minimum of $5k! I've seen a lot of photos of small weddings at the Flamingo and they look gorgeous. Maybe try Paris too. I love the mon ami gabi restaurant there.

I guess I could also throw out that I'm getting married at the Platinum which is off strip but only .5 mile off strip and has shuttle services. I wasn't going to suggest it at first bc I was thinking there was a 25 guest minimum.. but I actually think that's for their bigger packages. They do have some cute mini reception packages as well, so it might be worth it to look into it.

Also when considering the all inclusive packages in Vegas remember that a package for $10,000 that includes taxes and service fees is equal to a package for $7,500 that doesn't include taxes and fees.
