I'm getting married in Vegas too! What type of wedding do you plan on having? Big? small? Do you want a drive thru wedding? Are you getting married on the strip?

I think any advice given will need to be tailored to the type of wedding you want to have. I'm getting married at the Aria and we're planning on having a dinner at the restaurant afterwards. We're inviting about 60 guests. We're making a visit there next month to speak to some vendors.

There are a handful of Vegas brides on here, so they should be able to help out a lot if you provide more specifics.

    Happy planning!

That sounds lovely. I've heard really good things about Venus' Garden. Plus February is the perfect time of year. Not super hot and not super cold.

Don't know if your package comes with the hair and make up option, but I'm finding that the mobile HMUA are filing up fast and I'm still 11 months away.

I would also recommend checking with your coordinator or look to see if there are any major events taking place in Vegas the weekend of your wedding. It can definitely affect travel prices and hotel prices so it might be good to give your guests a heads up to book earlier rather than later if your wedding falls on a weekend of a major event. 2 weeks before our wedding is the EDC where like 100,000 people flood the city of Vegas.

There are also lots of other threads on here about Vegas weddings, so I'd recommend searching through some old ones and there should be some good advice there as well.

Jamie, DO NOT STAY AT THE LINQ! The rooms are t i n y The closet is a joke! As is the front lounge and bedroom.

My FH and I were in our room long enough to book another room at a sister property, I kid you not. That is also an old property with window air conditioners in them. (Which might not matter in Feb)

The photos online are taken to make the rooms look bigger. The bathroom was beautiful however. I wish I had measured the closet space it was horrible. I would guess 15" of hanging space.

I have stayed in Vegas numerous times at Caesars properties, a great price and rooms that are all suites are at Rio. More room for gatherings. Rio has a free shuttle to other Caesars properties.

Are you looking for tips on getting married in Vegas or on just a Holiday in Vegas? Have you ever been? If not, just a few quick must know things:

    1. Carry and drink water - all the time. Between the heat, the dryness of the desert, the constant flowing alcohol, and the oxygenation of the casinos, you will get dehydrated vaster than you could have imagined.

    2. Wear comfy shoes. Whatever looks like a short distance is not! The distance between things gets very skewed by the size of the building. Wear tennis shoes or flats at all times, carry heels if you must have them for a night out.

    3. Book shows, must do restaurants, and activities in advance. Vegas.com an OpenTable are your friend. You can sometimes find cheaper tickets on the strip but if you want to be sure you see a particular show or eat a specific restaurant then booking ahead is a good idea. Otherwise you could end up with bad seats, missing a show, or waiting until 10PM to eat.

    4. Make sure you save at least one day to hit Old Vegas (Fremont St). It is fun to play real slot machines with actual coins (but take hand sanitizer because coins are dirty AF). Also, wear shorts or pants when you head to Old Vegas because there is a zip line over the whole strip and you might feel crazy doing that in a skirt - or not...because Vegas?

    5. Don't forget non-strip excursions. Get out to the Grand Canyon if you can!

I just got back from Vegas, its where he proposed! We stayed at the Linq and I hated it. I agree with Suzy, the rooms are TINY and its a pain in the butt to get to them. As for wedding planning, I don't have much advice but I do suggest doing a Cirque show. That is my favorite thing I did there. Also, not sure if you are going to hit up any clubs or not but the Cosmopolitan has one in it that has a silent disco. It was a lot of fun!
