Las Vegas Wedding Reception Ideas!

lostinbubbles, on January 28, 2010 at 3:58 PM Posted in Planning 1 16

Hi everyone! I'm a Texas girl getting married in Vegas next May at Caesars Palace. I am in search of ideas for restaurants somewhere close by to host a reception. We will be having about 30 guest (probably less) and since I am a budget bride, I am trying to stay within my budget of around $30-50 per person. Any suggestions would be beyond appreciates! Many thanks in advance!

Did you ask your coordinator at Caesar's? They should give you some wonderful ideas! I am getting married at Treasure Island and I have a team of people that have been so wonderful in helping me with all my reception needs!

I just got married in October in Vegas. If you like steak we had our dinner at Stack in the Mirage. It was amazing. My husband still raves about it! Steak for two was $100 But there were plenty of entrees that were $19-$30. Also talk to your concierge of the hotel. That is who recommended the restaurant to us.

Check out Trevi. We are having our wedding rehersal there and it is actually located in the Ceasars Palace. It is one of the coolest resturants I have seen. The decor is very modern. I absoulty loved it! Price range is about $20-$32.50 (on the main courses) So adding a salad and a drink will be no probelm!

Thank you so much everybody! You've all given me lots of great suggestions, so this is a perfect jumping off point! My coordinator at Caesars finally sent over some of the menus for the restaurants inside the actual hotel, but most were a bit out of my price range. The search is on!

    Did you choose a restaurant?

I am also getting married at Caesars, the Juno Garden, in September. I was looking into Serendipity 3. It looks cute, fun and quirky, but has really mixed reviews on food quality.

    Hi Angela!

Congrats! We had our reception at BB Kings Blues Club right next door over @ the Mirage. It was absolutely fantastic! They have a live house band that was incredible and the vibe was great. We ordered a fantastic cake through the Mirage bakery and were even able to share a first dance out on the dance floor.

I did check out Serendipity3 beforehand, and while they have a very fun menu - their diner has a very classic look with a little quirk. We went for lunch one day so I at least recommend having a bite to eat there as they do have some very interesting selections, but depending on your party size it may not be right for a reception.

I have some pictures up on my website (link in profile I Believe) and will be adding more of the reception this weekend, so please feel free to check it out.

Good Luck and feel free to pick my brain if needed!! Smiley smile

Hi Ladies - I'm getting married at Caesars too! Next June - our ceremony will be in Juno Garden and we'll have the reception at a ballroom there. I would love to know where you decide to have your reception as We're looking for a second location to have an event the night before our wedding.

Angela - what's the pricing like at BB Kings?

BB Kings had great pricing. We opted for a buffet for 35 people for the actual reception with an open bar for guests, but their regular menu items were also pretty reasonable as well depending on your party size.

We had an informal pre-wedding get together the night before at Margarita ville @ the Flamingo which was an absolute blast as well.

We actually did our reception in a suite at TI--we'd already done a picnic dinner at Valley of Fire, so we just had alcohol and mini-cupcakes. We had about 30 people and it was a really good time.

We had our rehearsal dinner at RA Sushi in the Fashion Show Mall, though, with about 15 people, and that was really good.

The wedding is in 3 days! Serendipity was the choice for reception. Planning on having it on the outdoor patio facing the fountains of Caesars, so that should be pretty. Then going back to our two-bedroom suite at Caesars for an after-party! I am excited! Viva Las Vegas!
