Lately I have been thinking about this, as recently, my dad and I were meeting FS after all day at work, and usually I would lean over and we would kiss, but because my dad was there I felt awkward and didn't. Lately I have been thinking about this, as recently, my dad and I were meeting FS after all day at work, and usually I would lean over and we would kiss, but because my dad was there I felt awkward and didn't. FS teased me later and told me "it's not like your dad doesn't know that we kiss". Very true! LOL But come to think of it, the first time we'll ever kiss in front of family members, it will be on our wedding day it seems. I hope it's not too awkward. How do you guys feel about kissing FS in front of family?

Haha... 2d. have the same problem. My kids always tell us to "Break it up" when we hug or kiss. My favorite was "MOM, you'll get pregnant...." but they are young 8,6 and 5. So I guess now I need to explain kissing won't get you pregnant. UGH!!! As for kissing in front of family, no problems there either. We are madly in love and tend to always be touching. (hand holding, hand on knee, rubbing his back or him massaging my neck. Nothing X Rated in public)

I am 49...the FH is 62. Yes, we kiss in front of everyone, including the grandkids. We are PDA people, but not to the point of embarrassment for anyone.

However, even though FH and I have lived together for 8 years, when we go to my parents summer home, we sleep in separate bedrooms out of respect for my parents. They haven't asked us to do it, it is just respect, and I feel awkward. You are only talking a kiss, but I understand the awkwardness.

For the record...my 23 year old daughter lives in her fiance's parent's home, and they have separate bedrooms. When she comes home from Florida for a visit, I make them sleep in separate rooms. When they come up to Vermont for the wedding, where my parents and her grandparents will be, her fiance will sleep in a separate room at the inn. It is just respect. My daughter agrees with all.

Good luck...you want to make that first kiss special but site appropriate too.

Kissing is ok... making out and getting handsy... no way. I don't want my parents to do that to me so I will not do it to them.
