King’s table decor help!!

We’re having a long kings table (two rectangularr 8ft tables) in the center of the room. We’re at a bit of a loss for decor. There’s not much room in the budget for more flowers. We can use two of the same style centerpiece we have designed for our round tables but I think we need more. I have other plans for the ceremony bouquets.

So far we have two centerpiecesc designed for round tables (they’ll look similar to the photo below) and eight tea lights. I’m in desperate need of inexpensive ideas to fill the space. I'm so worried it will look sparse.

I would into a greenery garland for the center of the table or maybe some kind of table runner?

Garland was our original plan, but it was out of the budget.

'm torn because our venue package includes centerpieces for guest tables (up to a $50 value). We convinced them to cover two of them for our kings table (normally head and sweetheart tables aren't covered but we argued that without the kings table we’d have two additional round tables). The original plan was just to add two more. But I'm struggling with spending another $100 on flowers. I'm going to talk with the florist to see if four smaller centerpieces would be covered by the venue pqckage.... But idk.

I saw a wedding that had heavy plain vases on the head table and after the wedding party walked in all the bridesmaids put their handheld flowers in the vases making centerpieces.

I thought it was really pretty and very practical and we plan to do this too. Maybe it would work for you?
