Keeping Guests Updated on Fall Wedding?

Kaylee, on April 29, 2020 at 5:12 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

Fall Brides! Has anyone thought about putting something in, like a small note card with their invites like "We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation closely if there are any changes we will let you know."

I feel like if you can justify the cost of the inserts it wouldn’t be a terrible idea. I probably won’t, but I think that’s because I’m in southern Indiana in a small town. It may be a great idea especially if you’re somewhere more populated or affected, or if word doesn’t travel quickly through your wedding guests. It might make your guests feel more at ease about making certain travel plans

I added a banner to the website to that effect, but I am not changing the invites. I think it’s implied that we are monitoring the situation and will keep our guests updated.

I think this seems like a good idea so they l is to continue to look out for changes instead of making assumptions.

I’m having a details card that will have hotel info, etc and will include a blurb sort of like- please check our website xxx.com for last minute changes due to Covid.

I would probably have updates added to the website instead on mailing anything but sure, nothing wrong with keeping your guests up to date.

Agree with PP, an update on your wedding website or personal outreaches should be enough!

Instead of buying a "matching" insert, go to Vistaprint, find a business card in a color that matches your invitation suite, and put that on the business card! You can get 100 business cards for $15!

I put the dress code, information about parking and shuttles, that the entire event is indoors, and event times. Maybe add more information once we get closer to our date in October.
