Just postponed due to covid don't know what to do about change the dates!

We just made the decision to postpone from 9.25.20 to 10.1.21.. we are devastated but relieved at the same time. Such a weird feeling! We would like to send out change the dates but is it way too soon?? Normally save the dates shouldn't be sent out until a year out.

I would send change the dates ASAP so people know it won’t be happening this year!

I’m so sorry to hear that you had to postpone.. We just changed our date yesterday from 09.19.20 to 07.10.21, and we ordered our change the dates ASAP. I would do the same even if it was more than a year out to let guests know so that they have enough time to cancel any reservations/plans that they may have already made for the original date.

I would send the change the dates ASAP and then send something again with new RSVP instructions/cards closer to the new date. I'm so sorry you're going through this!

If you already have had STDs out there, then I would send a "Change the Date" reminder - many websites are now selling these - if you want to keep it economical - send Postcard CTDS

We sent save the dates originally so we sent out our change the dates ASAP (over year before the new date). The woman who designed ours said if you want to remind people again before the formal invite, You can send another reminder post card 6-8 months before.

I would send them out right away! We postponed from July to next May, and we just sent the change the dates. Of course our guests would be expecting an invitation right now, so it made sense to send the change the date so people could update their calendars. I think the thing is you need to let people know right away that plans changed. They might be seeing travel deals popping up for September.
