Just finished my prayer circle invitations

ladylee, on May 17, 2010 at 8:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 23

A while back I decided I want to have a prayer circle just before my wedding with the most important women in my life. So I did invitations b/c #1 I need to make sure they get to the church early enough and #2 I want them to know this is really important to me and not an afterthought and these truely are the most important women to me. It's going to be my mom & stepmom, FMIL, a couple of women from my church, my three closest friends and FH two SILs. And my bridal party will be there. Now I just have to decide who I will ask to lead the prayer.

That's so sweet and (as we say at retreat) life-giving :-)

What I love is that you made it work with your suite without making it exactly the same

This was from a freebie invitation suite I downloaded a while back. The pattern is actually brown so here's one place I get to use the pink/brown I originally wanted for my wedding. And this is "girl stuff" so of course there HAS to be some pink in there ;-)

Carmen, often when people pray everyone joins hands subsequently forming a circle.

No I haven't printed the menu cards yet. I just did samples. I still need to confirm something about the menu before I print the cards. But I do have that on the list for my Do Me a Favor party this weekend.

Oh okay, cool. I didn't know if it was some sort of short sermon before the wedding or something. Well the invites are really pretty. I love pink and brown together. =0)

Me too. Pink is my favorite color. I had every intention of having a pink/brown wedding but I made the mistake of sharing that tidbit with someone who ended up getting married before me Smiley smile

    Thanks MEG

Unique those were my menu cards and I have not printed them yet. I only set up the design but I need to verify something with the reception venue before I print them all. Hoping to get a callback today. I decided to add those to the list for my do me a favor party. If we have time after the big stuff is done.

I love the Do Me a Favor Party idea. That sounds like an awesome way to get everything done on your DIY list.

Uggh - hate it when you share with someone and they decide to steal all your idea :-(

Well, your yellow & black is outstanding - are you inviting the "borrower" to the wedding?

@Shannon I'm actually looking forward to having some help at this point lol. I'm just trying to make sure I get everything to the point that I can hand it all over. Hopefully FH will have time to go over the programs today and I can get them printed and scored.

@MrsJ *sigh* the borrower is married to one of our associates so she gets invited by default. Oh well. Maybe she won't come Smiley smile But uhhh yeah it was a bitter pill to swallow but a lesson learned. The crazy thing is she doesn't even LIKE pink. And EVERYONE knows pink is my favorite color. In fact at our home church, they CALL me "Pink". There was other ideas of mine she said she was considering doing but ultimately didn't have the money to pull it off and other things she just DID them and kept it a secret - things she told me were silly when we were tossing ideas around. Someone told me I should go ahead & use the colors & show her how it's REALLY done lol. But I'm really in love with the damask and yellow

Lady Lee, can you ask your officiant to lead your prayer circle? If your officiant is a man, what about his wife?
