We got engaged in January 2020 and originally planned to get married in October 2021. Cue pandemic, and we ended up deciding to postpone until October of this year. We were pretty much stagnant on planning anything for 2 years, so it's NUTS that our wedding is only about a month and a half away!

Our colors are deep teal, mulberry, and silver. We're going for a moody, romantic, sophisticated vibe. We also have a lot of sentimental and personal elements mixed in throughout the day. The ceremony will be in a Catholic church that my fiancé and I attended since we started dating. It'll be a really traditional full mass, which has been my dream since I was a kid.

The reception is in this gorgeous 2-story rooftop venue that has floor-to-ceiling windows and a great view of downtown! I LOVE that since a lot of our guests are from out of state. The venue also has an outdoor patio area with lounge furniture and firepits. I thought those would be perfect for a fall wedding since the temperature in Atlanta will be perfect (and assuming the weather cooperates lol). There's also a helicopter pad that I'm REALLY hoping we can take our sunset pictures on! It's also in the same building as a hotel, so none of our guests will have to worry about driving afterwards and can enjoy themselves.

I think the only thing keeping our wedding out of "black tie" status is that we're having a DJ instead of a live band, but the one we booked has been fantastic to work with, and I think it'll be a lot of fun! Our tasting was also phenomenal, and I'm hoping everyone really enjoys all the different offerings we're going to have.

I feel like I'm gushing, but I'm just SO EXCITED to finally get married!!! Everything is coming together great, and I can't wait to spend a day with my friends and family and to celebrate spending forever with the love of my life! 🥰

We are going for a gothic wedding on Halloween. We're going to have it in a forest and we want the party to be costume themed. Don't want it to look cheap though. I want gothic elegance. Sp excited! We're thinking of dressing as "Frankenstein" and the Bride as our costumes for the after-party.

I went for modern vibe with colorful flowers at a trendy hotel. It felt very relaxed & fun. It was just so “us.” But I know the planning process can feel so overwhelming in the beginning! I balked when I first saw the site fee!!

We've been married since March 2019, but we are thinking of doing a vow renewal "elopement" with just the 2 of us. I was sick the day of the wedding and would like a "do over." Instead of spending all that money on 1 day again, I would rather take a 2 week trip and say "I do" somewhere in the Bahamas or Caribbean. Plus, that money could be better off spent somewhere else. When the time is right, however, we will plan on one heck of a shindig with all the trimmings; perhaps for a 10 year!
