Just Curious.... Has anyone used a psychic before?

I want to go to a medium. but I would go to a psychic too. I am just afraid, I don't want them to say you only have a month to live or something scary like that.

I've used a tarot card reader once before. If you're having a tough time with something, or feeling lost, then whatever they say might help you recognize what your own intuition is telling you, or give you hope for better times to come. If you are happy with your life--leave well enough alone and skip it-- whatever they tell you won't matter.

I agree Jessica, that would be awful smh. You are right Barbara, I am in a good place and I don't think I need the services because like Jessica said I could find out something scary. My friend has been in a hard place and feeling a lil lost and confused. I was concerned about them seeing a psychic mainly because of what I was told growing up that it was evil and thing of that nature.

I visited a psychic out of curiosity. i've always wanted to go... but never could actually get myself to go. haha. one of my coworkers moms visits this specific guy every time she goes to new orleans so i figured on a good recommendation, i'd check him out.

he was really, really good. i came out of there like... wtf. he wasn't 100%, but i'd say he was about 90-95% accurate with all of his readings. it was a really interesting experience and honestly, i'd go visit him again next time i'm in new orleans just out of curiosity. i'd be curious to see how well he does the next time... or if he even remembers me. haha.

LOL this was my friday confession, I'm a total believer and have seen one about three times, called in a few times over the years. I prefer in person, here in Indy we have a place you can go see them called Pyramid of Enlightenment, they do phone readings as well. I dont think all of them are real but some are. I've had good experiences, sometimes its just a relief to here whats to come. Has any of it come true, yes. I was told I would only marry if I made it happen and his first inital was a D. My husbands name is Dwayne. I was also told that I would get a job offer and I did.

Well Summya that was some positive news. I am glad that it all came true. I guess I am just kind of a skeptic but if I ever get in a place in my life where I need the extra guidance I might try it out. I am a firm believer in prayer and faith, I guess one could still believe and consult a psychic. Its just kind of hard to understand with everything I have been taught as a child.

I've never been to one before, and I personally don't know anyone who has either. I'm like you OP, and was taught that psychics and mediums are the works of the devil. I got an astrology book once as a gift, and it had some tarot cards in it, and I ripped them up and threw them out because I was afraid that I would be cursed, lol. However, rumor has it my paternal grandmother, who comes from a Creole background, used to practice voodoo. I've never actually asked her to see if it's true. I guess it's one of those things that you have to experience for yourself to believe.

LOL, that's funny that you rip them up and threw them away. I have only read my horoscopes from websites and magazines.

I've only done it once. I went to a psychic at a Renn Faire about 10 years ago and she did a handwriting analysis. One of the things I remember was that she said I had a guardian angel named "David" or "Michael" and that's my brother's first and middle name!

I really want to hire a psychic or a medium for my bachelorette party. I think that would be fun.

I went to one once out of curiosity and the first thing out of his mouth was dead on. I was really careful not to let on too much detail with him and he did a really great job.

I'm good friends with a psychic/medium. She's never really read me, but she did predict once that I'd be engaged at 32 to someone who's name started with G.... and I was engaged at 32 to my FH named Glen

She told me that when we went out to lunch one day after I had a breakup. Flash forward 4 years later, I totally forgot about it, until about an hour after he proposed to me. It all came flooding back and I had to text her to tell her she was right lol.

I went to one years ago in New Orleans -- tea leaves and tarot card reader. I still have the tape (yes a tape) of the reading ... it was eerily accurate. Makes me want to go again but haven't done it. Total believer though!!

I never went to a psychic, but my friend's grandmother read cards. She told me that the guy I was with was not the guy I was going to marry. I thought she was crazy, (of course I was going to marry that guy-I thought) but she sure was right! She told me other things (I won't bore you) but it was all detailed and accurate, pretty crazy!

As my birthday present and old friend of mine would give me a tarot reading. She was always right on the money. I think everything varies on who you go to. You have to find someone trustworthy and really well thought of.

Astrology is a hobby of mine. I can do natal charts and interpret them. It's pretty amazing how accurate they are. You can do them online for free, but I like the math involved. I like drawing the chart and placing everything.

I've seen one once at a house warming party I went to. She held a piece of my jewelry and told me that I'd be married one day and that my husband and I would live in the South with our children.

FH and I moved to Florida (as South as you can get LOL!) a couple years ago. We aren't working on having kids and are strongly considering not having them at all. So I don't know about that part. LOL!

I know I am going.to sound crazy, but at my old house I had a medium come out because there was a spirit in the house. I wanted to move since I was just renting but I was only a few months in the lease and didn't have money. Besides the spirit was mean, it was just there. Anywho, she helped a lot and I was happy she came to my home

I went to a state fair about 5years ago and a woman had a tent, offering to read you. I went with a friend on a whim. She read my friend first, and did a pretty good job, but in was skeptical because a lot of it could have been explained by reading our reactions to her questions. Then she read me, and the first thing she noticed was that I was in a new relationship (had "officially" started dating FH the week before all of this), she mentioned that I was hesitant with this relationship because I had been "twice burned" in the past (getting creepy, because I had 2 relationships prior to fh that ended badly, so I was keeping him at arms length), but if I let myself give in, I have found the man I was meant to marry. Fast forward 5 years, and I am marrying the man, just like she told me. I didn't tell fh about her at first because I didn't want him to be freaked out, but I have since told him.

Don't pay money to anyone to tell you what to do. If they are legit psychics their abilities would be cut down if they sell themselves for money, no joke

I had some weird experience with one in a bar. She was doing readings for $5. Not sure if she was bored or what. She told me that until I moved on from my past and also stopped accepting shitty people into my life, I would continue to be unhappy. She told me a lot about myself no one would know and I certainly hadn't told her a thing about myself. I think I called her a fraud and went back to my beer LOL.
