June wedding

Courtney , on April 13, 2020 at 9:48 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 12
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone who were originally planning to have a june wedding has already rescheduled due to COVID-19? My venue said to wait til mid-may before i decide to reschedule but i’m just worried about all the trouble it might be. If you have already rescheduled when are your new dates and was it hard trying to get a date that worked for all of your vendors? thank you!!

We're getting married in August and this is exactly what is stressing me out about having to postpone. My FH seems to think it will be easy but I just worry about finding a day that all the vendors are free.

Yes!! it’s easy to pick a new day but it’s not easy making sure all of your vendors are free especially when you’ve already made deposits with most. i’m sending you all the positive thoughts for this to be blown over before your big day!! 💛

I'd reach out to all your vendors now just to see what your options are. I'm supposed to get married June 13 (haven't officially postponed anything, but will at the start of May). We contacted all our vendors to find a common date that worked for everyone. Our venue wouldn't let us tentatively hold a new date until May, but everyone else held for us. Because 3/4 of our guest list are traveling for the wedding, we're going to push back to end of July, downsize the guest list, and host it at my fiance's parents' farm. There's just no other option for us. So while my venue is making us wait too, we didn't wait to contact people. Everyone else had been so great with holding a new date without any fees or anything!

Hi there, My wedding was scheduled for June 6th and we just postponed today. My venue didn't make any fuss they just asked what date we wanted. I just need to contact the lighting company, florist, and rental to see what they say.

We didn’t get our first choice of date when we rescheduled but we got the month we wanted. Our venue though told us to pick another date... depends how busy it is I guess...

My wedding was June 13th and I had postponed till August 2nd. Fortunately all my vendors were still available, but we did go from a Saturday wedding to a Sunday which wasn’t a deal breaker for me! Good luck!

I’m getting married on the 1st of August. After rescheduling of course! Are you anxious about your date? Are you worried you are going to have to postpone again? I’m trying not to worry, as I know this past week and this week aren’t going to be great in terms of the virus. Hoping after that we will see some light at the end of the tunnel!

We rescheduled in the form of a “vow renewal” on June 12, 2021. But we’re still getting married on our original date of June 6 this year! I’m happy with how it’s all turning out. I eight think a big wedding was ever “me” or “us” so I’m glad we’re doing something small now and partying later. Pretty much all of our vendors were cooperative. I also felt like if we rescheduled sooner rather than later, we wouldn’t run the risk of the dates we wanted getting booked.

I am not gonna lie I am anxious about my new date as well, but I have seen a TON of brides being postponed to August and September! So fingers crossed everything will be back to normal by than. If not I might still get married on that date anyways and do a celebration at a later time. But praying it all works out for us!
