June Brides

I live in Ohio and my FH and I are trying to decide what do about our June 13th wedding. I like so many others have been counting down the day’s and am heartbroken to think we might have to reschedule. I have already had to cancel my bridal showers and bachelorette party. Our venue is allowing us to reschedule to a week night later this summer or next year. I was so anti week night and am not sure if end of summer is even safe at this point. I’d love to hear what other people are doing?

    Hi Madison,

I know postponing your wedding is a difficult decision. Would you feel better if you set a deadline to postpone? Has your venue opened up all dates for 2021, or are your options limited to specific days/months?

My fiancé and I were suppose to get married on June 20th this year. After talking with our reception venue, we have decided to postpone our wedding until next year. We can't see having our wedding without all of our family and friends there with us. Nor can we see just doing an small intimate wedding ceremony with our immediate family and then hosting a 1 yr vow renewal and reception next year.

I work in a hospital lab as a Medical Lab Tech. We are constantly running CoVid-19 samples like crazy and a good amount of them are coming up positive. Unfortunately I do not see Governor Dewine letting up many of the restrictions that are in place right now by June. Plus the majority of us in the health field have a feeling that we will continue to see and test this virus during summer and into the fall and winter of this year along with Flu, RSV, and Strep.

It sucks no doubt, but there are some many options that one can choose from that fits their situations. Do what you think is best for you and your FH.
