June brides, anyone canceling?

June brides, how are you holding up? Canceling, postponing, or holding on? I’m holding on and praying things turn for the better. I just financially can’t afford to postpone or cancel.

I’m wishing my was June 27th right now! Like many of us have said, we are going to hold on for as long as we can. I rather postpone last minute then postpone. I would be crushed if we were released back into the world Mid-May and I postponed until a later day! Go with your gut and don’t look back!

3 months is plenty of time for your dress. My second fitting has been pushed back to (hopefully) April 8th, when the stay at home order is supposed to be lifted in IL, I get married May 2nd and my seamstress is not worried at all. 3 months is not something you need to stress about. Hang in there!

I hear ya, we are holding tight to May 2nd and just have to wait it out which sucks!!! It’s the not knowing that’s making me most crazy. And the brides getting married in over a year asking if they should postpone, annoying af. I was all into talking about everyone’s wedding no matter when it was but I’m sorry, now everyone should focus on April, May, June weddings. I don’t want to hear about your plans in over a year. Sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not sorry

I’m holding out however, we are already married. We planned our wedding 10yrs ago but I got sick and we had to cancel our wedding due to my health. So we went to the mountains one day and just did it, with only close family and friends there. Then we decided if I was still on this earth for our 10th we would have the wedding we wanted the first time. So this year is our 10th and now here we are again not knowing if we are having a wedding. I still have major health issues and I am disabled but I have dreamed about my wedding since I was a little girl. The stress from all of this has even made me sicker and I have Bell’s palsy now and can’t move the right side of my face so can’t even get pictures done right now. But we have paid all these vendor deposits and was supposed to send out invitations this month but I been holding on to them because of everything going on. Plus the venue and our planner is telling us to keep moving forward as planned but ask us for a reschedule date if we get canceled. But at this point I don’t know what to do. I just put so much work into this already and no one understands how this feels so I can’t talk to anyone about the wedding at all.

June 20th bride here and holding on! We are waiting until the end of April/beginning of May to make any decisions. In the meantime, I've contacted all of my vendors to figure out a Plan B if worse comes to worst, and many of them were super understanding. But the stress is real!!! Hang in there ladies!!

I’m planning on holding on to my June 20 date. A lot can change by then but I am getting nervous cause I live in CA where the number of cases I guess are higher than other states 😭. However I’m still hopeful and praying that this will be over by May....

Our wedding is planned for June 27, 2020 but we are considering getting married this year (with only parents and siblings) and having the wedding around the same time in June 2021 to celebrate with everyone. We really don’t think it will be better in a few months and may even return in the fall, so we don’t want to put anyone at risk. I’m sure all of our guests will appreciate postponing. We really want the special day with everything we planned for, so we may just renew our vows and have the reception next year. Anyone in a similar situation?

Yup! My sentiments exactly! Why are you postponing your November 2020 wedding? Mind boggling. But if they feel the need to stress they need to freak out in their own November feed. Leave us Spring brides alone!

My original wedding was for this Saturday, March 28th. Got postponed March 16th for June 27th. It’s been extremely stressful and emotional but everyone’s been super supportive except for some negative people on here - I posted my own forum about how to go about the postponed date with our guests and rsvp’s. Hoping for the best, will be going off of what is required by the state (I’m in NY and that’s why we were postponed the first time) and what the venue is doing.

Thinking of all other brides going through this, it sucks but it’s been comforting knowing I’m not the only one going through this

I’ve been looking forward to my wedding day just like all of you young ladies!! I’m praying we all are able to continue with our wedding plans. I don’t think it’s selfish of us to want our special days to still happen. It’s just hard to deal with the unknown. Trying to stay positive with all that’s going on. I don’t want to postpone also because you never know what may happen with our loved ones in another year especially the elders.

I just got on here to see if any June wedding we’re canceling. I’ve had two FB friends who had late May weddings cancel. I am thinking I need to give it at least one more month before I consider canceling. I really holding onto the hope that the heat will stop it from spreading much longer. The only issue is stopping planning for an entire month. That’s going to be hard for me. 😢
