Summer 2020 brides! What are your venues saying?

I postponed my June 6th wedding to the end of August and so far it looks like its going happen

I spoke to my venue yesterday and they are anticipating if the progress continues in Long Island to be hosting weddings at 50% capacity at phase 4 in July. My venue holds 500 so that would be 250 guests..no information of masks,dancing etc. yet.

Im in september in NY. I think that sounds about right- 50% capacity. my venue doesnt know yet what capacity or restrictions will be. theyre waiting for phase 4 guidelines. Its funny because literally everyone on this website postponed their wedding and theres no reason to. people r postponing 2021 weddings!! even my vendors said all their summer and fall brides postponed. honestly i think they just see everyone else postponing and start to freak out. weddings are gonna be just fine. and according to cdc masks will only be encouraged. i dont know if ny will follow exactly but i did read one venues plan (they were in central ny) and they are only requiring guests to wear masks during ceremony and dancing. i think thats way better than wearing them the whole time. we should be finding out the guidelines in less a week. check cuomos website in the next few days

I heard there is a big meeting the second week of July with the State and NYC/LI catering halls about all the details! So we should have some definite answers soon! Fingers crossed !!!
