July 4 wedding

We are going through it too. July 18th wedding. Our parents are saying go forward, our wedding planner has been kind of insinuating we do a plan B or reschedule. Our venue is working with us but still we don’t know. Our lockdown in to June 10th. We might enter phase 1 however May 8th. We are nervous people won’t want to come. We’ve waiting a year and a half for this and postponing for another year feels like forever. We are going to see what it’s like beginning of June as far as the data, phases and how people are feeling. So tough

As someone in the NYC metro area - I totally understand. I have no idea if/when my job will open up again. It's just so scary and fuzzy right now.

Our date is August 14 in rye, ny and we are working on postponing. We are lucky in that money is not the concern for us, and we’ve both been working through the crisis, but more of concern for friends and family to attend. We have a lot of older family and I can’t imagine there won’t be strict social distancing rules in place for awhile— how could 130 people sit and dance in one place 3 months from now? It’s still heartbreaking though. Considering eloping on August 14th still. Best of luck, I know this is so hard.

We just really want to be married to each other as this point. We may not have the 200+ people we expected to have but we will have each other and close family at the very least. I feel your pain. My wedding is also July 4th in PR, we live in NY. We know we need to definitely cancel the destination wedding but I do not want to change my wedding date. I’ve waited my whole life to marry this man (childhood best friend). Hopefully we can have a small intimate wedding here in NY. I really hope it works out for you and all the couples.
