July 2020 brides - current plans?

Sydney, on May 18, 2020 at 2:14 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5
I’m getting married 7-18-20 in Montana. My FH and I have had many chats about what to do but have ultimately decided to move forward with the planning in the hopes we can still get married on the 18th, however we have decreased our guest list by quite a bit. We’ve started to open up more places and hoping to continue that trend throughout June and we will then make our final decision whether to keep going/postpone. Wondering what other July brides are planning to do with all this uncertainty going on?

How did you go about decreasing your guest list?

We reached out to those specific people to explain our current situation. Many of them are guests who would have to travel, and they all understood where we were coming from

July 25th in WI. Haven't postponed yet but we have a hold on a May 2021 date and we think it is pretty likely we will postpone. The two month mark is coming up and I feel I know nothing more about how gatherings will go in the next few months. The anxiety is getting to be too much and short of any guidelines I just think any wedding we would have would not be the wedding that we had planned for. I would almost be ok with severely downsizing things, but we just have so much money tied up in it that I don't think we can forgo it. I'm feeling for everyone going through this right now - it doesn't seem there is any one right answer and we just have to do the best we can do with the information we have right now.

    Hi Sydney,

This is definitely a crazy stressful and uncertain time for everyone! It seems like a lot of July brides are waiting a few more weeks before making postponement decisions, but everyone's situation is different and it never hurts to be proactive about plan b!

Here's a discussion specifically about July 2020 Weddings!

First things first, I recommend that you call or email your venue and see how they're handling July events. Things are changing daily, so keeping the lines of communication open is important. That way, you can make decisions in a timely fashion.

    Good luck!akxoU0fWxdmfE9sHUjjkYB-ICl1lHJDh_sCPQOky
