July 18

So we got married in my parents backyard on March 21st and rescheduled our ceremony for July 18th... I haven't sent out new save the dates yet because I am terrified that we will have to postpone a second time. How is everyone else handling this? We've discussed pulling the plug on our new date and doing a one year vow renewal and reception. We are in New Jersey which is close to the epicenter of this pandemic. Any thoughts are welcome

My date is July 18 and I am not canceling or rescheduling. I’m over this virus and negativity. It’s my day and I’m going to have it if only just the bridal party, FH, and my pastor show up. I will also be 36 when I get married for the first time so I want to start trying for a baby. If I can’t have my wedding inside my church, I will have it outside on the huge property that they have right next door.

Hi! I am in upstate NY and have the same date, July 18th. It is our rescheduled date from May 30th. I am really nervous that large gatherings are not going to be allowed by July 18th but it's so hard to say. We have 230ish on our guest list but today we looked at our list and were able to get it down to 150 if absolutely needed, it would be family only. I feel like if things are better by July, they are still going to have some restrictions on large gatherings. I am terrified of having to reschedule AGAIN. UGH!

I have about 125 but I know half will show. Just have it anyway. It’s about you and him.

I feel the same way. There is so much negativity. We can be realistic and positive at the same time. My date is in August and I’m getting a lot of pressure to postpone it right now and I’m like...I’m not doing that four months out. Hope your wedding goes great!!

Our date is July 25th and we’re going through with it...we picked a backup date in October but my fiancé said no because his family can only come visit during the summer. So we’re praying every freaking day that we can have our full ceremony and reception. Everyone is telling me not to postpone. If anything, I think we will be restricted to have many people we can allow but I do have a feeling that we will be able to host weddings by July! Keep the faith girl!!

It's definitely hard to predict how things will be in July right now! Thankfully you guys have already been able to tie the knot!! Smiley ring

It sounds like a lot of July couples are figuring out their backup plan, but waiting until late May to make a final decision. You should definitely check out these discussions where other July brides have been sharing their concerns:

We are keeping our July 11th date but are prepared to cut it down to just our parents and siblings as guests
