Has anyone tried any good juice cleanses? I'm not trying to loose a significant amount of weight but just trying to transition into a healthier lifestyle and loose a few lbs along the way. I am fairly active its the eating part that gets me, so I was thinking maybe a cleanse to kick start some...

Honestly I have lost lots of weight but gained it back faster so don't do it!

Don't do it. I've done them many times in the past, but sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. It can be so annoying to only drink juice and lose 3 lbs in 48 hours. Plus, the weight comes back 10x faster from a "diet" like this.

A juice cleanse is not a good way to lose weight, but a short juice cleanse (like 1-3days) is definitely a good way to jump-start a healthier lifestyle. I've never done a store-bought cleanse, but I do my own homemade juice cleanses on occasion. The biggest benefit in my opinion is that it really helps re-train your body to crave fruits and veggies rather than junk food. cleanses are only unhealthy when they go on for more than a couple days (contrary to popular belief, juice cleanses actually don't throw you into "starvation mode" or slow your metabolism- they do provide enough daily calories to sustain you, not to mention that your metabolism doesn't slow down after only a day or two of not eating).

tl;dr juice cleanses are not unhealthy when done right and can make a good transition into a healthier eating style, but are not for weight loss.

Hey Laura, I was doing a lot of research lately on weight loss and found this very interesting post on Buzztips about detox juice recipes. I’ve been trying them out for almost a month now and I’ve been getting some pretty nice results. So I decided to share this with you guys.
