We did a joint dance as well and we danced to My Wish. I think it was the only country song played. :-)

If this is what you want, then go for it. If this is a case where the groom is suggesting this because he's not comfortable dancing with his mother, then he needs to man-up. The Father-Daughter dance is a time-honored tradition that your dad deserves, not to mention, his mother may also want her dance, solo, as well. One thing I do for grooms like this is offer a shortened version. First verse/chorus, then fade out (on the groom's head nod). Often times, we'll plan this and the groom ends up doing the entire song. Once he gets over his jitters, he starts to realize what a special moment he's enjoying, not to mention the pictures will be around a long, long time.

@rick..actually the reason we are doing it this way is because his mother won't dance with him and my dad really wants to dance with me. My mother has said my FH is very much like a son to her so she has no issue dancing with him since his own mother won't do it. This is just one of the many things that she has thrown at us.
