Jillian Michaels weight loss?

M, on August 26, 2011 at 5:46 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 15

Has anyone tried and used her program successfully? I think I am going to sign up and give it a good shot. I feel like I need some direction or I'm not ever going to make any progress. If I rely on methods I've tried before I feel like I'll slip back into old habits, so this would be a new program for me to work with.

Has anyone known anyone who used her site for motivation? Does anyone want to do it with me? lol I want to lose 50-60lbs by next year, which is a large goal but attainable if I really stick with it.

I've been using her videos. They are good! I haven't dropped a crazy amount of weight with them, but I am the strongest I've ever been my whole life and I feel great!

I am 2 days away from finishing her new video, Ripped in 30, and I've dropped 5 pounds so far, and plenty of inches. As well as getting ripped!

I'm going to start the 30 Day Shred next. I haven't gone on her website, or any of that stuff. Just been using her video!

I don't like her website! The send you tons of emails, they have you're weekly diet plan (which doesn't let you tell them what kind of food you dn't like) there are some cool tips and whatnot on there but definitely not worth 4 bucks a week

@FallBride, have you actually done level 4?!?!? If so, I am totally impressed.

Anyway, try Ripped in 30, it's challenging but doable. They also give you a free 30-day meal plan. And as FallBride, I haven't dropped insane amounts of weight (about 8 pounds in 5-6 weeks but many more inches), but I'm also stronger and more toned than ever. I would also recommend you get a couple of different DVDs so that you don't get bored.

Did the 30 day shred twice. Lost some weight on it but you will gain muscle.

@ Mrs. S - I only have 2 workouts of level 4 left!!! Over halfway done with it.

I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it - and my fiance for doing it with me!!

Did someone post on here semi-recently about a discount on her DVD's? It was like you get two of them for $5 or something ridiculous... ring any bells? I haven't been able to find it :/

I have only been working on her program this week and have lost five lbs already. Some of the tips on her website helped me tremendously! Still waiting on my $5 DVDs to be shipped though!

I did the shred - the results were similar to what has already been said. Did not lose "weight" but I lost inches which was fine by me since I gained muscle. I actually started it again this week after taking a LONG break of working out. Be prepared to be SORE the first few days. You'll be surprised how quickly you'll adapt. No pain, no gain - right?!

I bought the 30 day shred the other day....do you guys recommend ripped in 30 over shred? I was going back and forth over which to buy...hopefully I made the right choice!

@Sarah, the system is the same: 3 minutes strength, 2 mintues of cardio, 1 minute abs. Ripped in 30 has 4 workouts and they're a little more challenging, and a little longer (just a couple of minutes). If you're just starting, Shred is great.
