she did look beautiful in her allure gown though.

I agree with future mrs.jkr. My mom (and all 3 of my married sisters) practice "family planning" with no birth control whatsoever. My mom had 4 kids and one of my sisters has 2. All planned. If God wanted you to have kids ALL the time, He'd knock you up without you even having any sex.

Jessa's wedding episode hasn't aired yet lol. Do you mean Jills?? That episode just replayed tonight.

The Duggars don't drink OR dance, so I'm pretty sure they have "cake and punch" style receptions in the afternoon.

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic @kassy.... are you suggesting that we're gonna get a bunch of virgin mary babies up in here?

1000 guests is a lot, but I have worked on a couple of Indian weddings that surpassed 800 guests.

They did all have food, but the Duggers are very frugal as well. The Mom makes her own laundry detergent. 3.5mil is not a lot for a family that size & I believe they will be having a lot of weddings to pay for lol.

1000 guests, no dancing and ice cream. Sounds like a bang up time.

I don't watch them because they are bigots.

I see nothing wrong with anything they do lol. I love the show personally. So what if it was ice cream? I am sure she made all the guest aware. It was her day and she did it they way she wanted. She invited everyone she wanted to and they could say yes or no to coming. She wanted simple and it sounds like she achieved it. Jill's wedding sounded a bit more extravagant, but even the mom said she had more pictured for her wedding compared to Jessa's. As far as the guest count I think 1,000 is good for them considering all the people she probably knows and how large of a family they have. I am sure TLC and her parents offered to help financially, but I don't think she really even wanted that. She said that she wanted people to really focuse on the spiritual aspect of them getting married. I say more power to her for doing what she wanted to do.

Never watched the show so...... Ya I got no opinion it. 1,000 people tho? That's a bit much.

And why would anyone love this show. Just curious. Simple? 1000 guests? That's really not simple. Neither is irresponsibly having 19 kids that you support by trotting them out on reality TV.

    Gross.

@Emmy... I think she was saying that if God really wanted people to have that many kids he'd just make us like fruit trees where every 12 months we'd just grow a person instead of having sex to achieve the child

It is another version of a cake and punch reception (they have them in my area at the large churches sometimes). They also had another reception at her parents house with more food (with less people I think) and I think the 1000 guests comes from inviting other large families like theirs.

I do watch the show mostly because I like Jill, but I don't agree with them on anything really.

@McKony, $3.5M is not a lot for a family that size? That's over $166,000 per person. That's more than DH and I will make jointly even when we have kids. It's a lot. Especially for doing nothing but flaunting your personal (bigoted, irresponsible) lifestyle.

Curious ??? Out of all the ladies who said that they haven't and never would watch the Duggars because of their "horrible" lifestyle, how many of you are fans of and watch the Kardashians ?

I dislike the Duggars, I dislike the Kardashians, I dislike all the shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette! We need to quit making idiotic people famous.

A few months ago Jessa and Ben shared a steamy kiss on instagram and got a bunch of negative press. Shortly after the "parents " as a show of support requested that couples share their steamy kiss photos on their official Facebook page. Then they deleted photos of gay and interacial couples. TLC should be ashamed of airing the Duggars.

I thought it was the new version of hot dogs and water.

Hate the Kardashians too. Their only collective talent is publicity. Somewhere, there is an iceberg big enough for all of the Duggers, the Kardashians, all the Bachelors and Bachelorettes and Sarah Palin. Bye bye, enjoy the float!
