Jenga Guestbook - How do I keep the Sharpie from rubbing off?

Renae, on July 5, 2012 at 12:05 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

We will be having our guests sign Jenga pieces for the guestbook. (I love that game!) But I'm concerned that the Sharpie will soak into the wood or will eventually rub off as we pull the pieces out as we play. Any suggestions for how to keep that from happening?

I would varnish them afterwards, that should protect it!

Hi Renae ~ welcome to WW

You could always cover the blocks with a clear coat sealant.

A sharpie will write on them pretty well. I made drinking jenga when I was in college.

*according to Sonia B and her wood working husband - you would seal with polyurethane (2 coats)

I really like that idea ! Maybe consider getting a permanent marker with a fine tip.
