What's a James Bond theme wedding?

Keep in mind that the James Bond book and movie series is among the most misogynistic and sexist, why would you think that appropriate for a wedding? This is right up there with the Great Gatsby as a wedding theme.

Next to Great Gatsby, this is my favorite theme. Not.

I don't think it's judging; I think it's, honestly kind. Anyone who's familiar with either GG or 007 is familiar with how women are treated in either. And if you think that many of the guests won't wonder about that, think again.

If you like the spy theme, there are at least three other movies and tv shows that feature spy couples and don't mistreat women; The Avengers is one that comes to mind.....

Not a judgement, just a perspective as other people have suggested. I've been on this website for a while and people come on here all gung-ho with a "theme" in mind not caring about the connotations regarding it. I have studied the misogyny in the James Bond books during my English degree, so I have that perspective to offer.

I fully agree that the Bond franchise is sexist. That being said, I do love the movies and I vote #SneddenNotStirred.

I dunno, I feel like having a theme is a lot more fun than just "we're getting married." Not sure I would choose this one (I hate Bond movies), but I'd definitely be more excited to go to a roarin' 20s wedding than a wedding in a ballroom.

@VC: she is getting help. Someone already directed her to the hashtag generator. But not pointing out the issues with her theme is like seeing someone with toilet tissue stuck to their shoe and just saying "nice shoes."
