Jack and Jill bachelor(Ette) ideas

Luvmayo, on March 29, 2016 at 7:08 PM Posted in Planning 0 6

Hi ladies!

My FH and I are planning a mid-day mini bar crawl in NYC (bridal party only), followed by an evening party in a private rented room at a bar in midtown (we invited allllll of our friends to that). Any suggestions for fun games/activities that are low maintenance and low cost?

Thanks!!!! Congrats and good luck to allllllll!!!!!

Before I answer- Are you making your guests buy tickets which you will then use for money toward your wedding, or is this just a co-ed thing?

A scavenger hunt is always fun where u all (usually the bride) has to collect different items throughout the night. We did "suck for a buck" at one of my friend's bachelorette parties too. That is fun but u have to have an outgoing bridal party.

As PP said, is this a fundraiser? Like with raffles and games with admission fee? Or a combined bachelor/bachelorette?

This sounds like the Jack and Jill where you just combined parties...but you shouldn't be hosting your own bachelor/bachelorette parties because they are thrown in your honor and usually include gifts. It's fine to have a pre-wedding get-together, but it's technically against etiquette to call them bachelor and bachelorette.

PP's are asking about the charging guests thing because in some areas, brides and grooms have parties called Jack and Jills to help pay for their weddings. They invite everyone in town, even people not invited to the wedding, they sell raffle tickets, they have an auction, and they have carnival games that you pay for. Also they charge for admission and make their bridal party work at the party. If you are doing this...you are BEING a twatwaffle. Stop. If not, carry on...

LOL!!! Twatwaffle. I'm using that one!!! No admission, no hard labor, just a party where everyone (who wants to come) can cut back and enjoy. Just wanted to know if there was something more fun beyond beer pong.
