Ivory / Light Gold wedding dress

I did an Allure in ivory over light gold. I don't think anyone would have thought it was not "white". It was very subtle and complemented my skin tone much better than stark white would have.

I got a gown with a blush underlay. When deciding whether I wanted it just like the sample, they lifted up the underlay underneath to my waist so I could see the outer layer against ivory. My dress doesn't look like blush but it gave a dimension that was prettier and accented the lace. Can you try that?

My dress is also ivory lace with champagne underlay and was a bit weary too, especially after some negative comments from family but later I realized that its not about what people want its about what makes you feel beautiful and what goes with your skin tone. I love that dress, go for it

My dress is also a ivory lace with a light gold satin under that. I think it makes the lace stand out more. It wouldn't stand out so much if I were to have had an all white or all ivory dress.

That is a gorgeous dress. If they don't have it in the all ivory, you could ask them to put an ivory slip under the lace so you could get an idea of how the dress would change (aka how the lace would look different) however I think the light gold under is beautiful and helps the lace to pop

I think that dress is gorgeous. If you go with an all ivory or all white dress, the details of the lace may not show up as much. Just something to think about.

It's a Morilee right? I love her dresses... I tried on one with a light gold too. And had the same fear. My consultant tried to tuck scraps of white fabric under the lace so I could make sure I was still in love with the dress.

The one I got is called vintage. Its so much more flattering on my pale skin then any of the all ivory ones I tried one. I also tried some with the light gold underlay and I loved the color. It is so beautiful.

I tried mine on in white. They had the dress in the color I ended up buying, but I couldn't try it on because the sample was way too small. Mine is ivory and champagne. I am so in love with it. Just have to get it altered now!

Can you check if it is available in a different color at a nearby bridal store? I did that for mine and it helped me to select the color and the size.

I think if you went all ivory you won't be able to see all that amazing lace work.

Mine is ivory over gold from jasmine. I actually tried it in ivory over nude but a lot of people gave me negative feed back on it looking too dark. So ivory/gold was my compromise. I snapped one picture of it and it pretty much looks white from a short distance.

Sigh I wish I had pictures but I damaged a phone between getting my dress and now and lost them in the process. My dress is also a Maggie - ivory over light gold (they call it champagne). Don't worry, it's still very very light and hard to tell it's light gold. I think the main reason they use the color is to ensure the ivory lace stands out against it. I tried mine in ivory/ivory and that was the challenge with it - you couldn't really see the detail at all.

I ordered my dress in light gold! I can't wait until it arrives!
