Ivory bridesmaid dresses: Yea or Nay?

I think if the bride decided to wear a different color besides ivory/white it could look pretty. Otherwise I feel like it takes away from the bride.

I saw a pic recently that had the bride in a champagne colored dress and the bridesmaids in ivory and it was beautiful. It's just not for me.

I'm sure that was gorgeous!!! When done with the right dresses, it can definitely work and the bride will still look amazing.

This will 100% be me. I want everything to be very clean with ivory, greenery and little bits of light gray. My BMs' dresses are going to be knee length though and in the same type of style as my dress (simple/fitted).

I really like the ivory bridesmaid dresses and like a previous poster stated everyone at my wedding will know that I'm the bride so I don't think that would be much of an issue.

My daughter chose an ivory dress. I never gave it a thought and just naturally thought her dress would be white. However, the ivory dress she tried on was stunning and then she tried a white and it was just awful! It was almost blindingly bright and not becoming on her. She is blonde but one of those blondes who tans well so not as if she is very pale. But I was an instant fan of the ivory.

I would only do t if my dress was a color like purple or pink or blue

It is a very classy look, would be good for a black tie wedding. I wouldn’t do this because it looks confusing in pictures and I like a pop of color. I had a friend who wore a white bridesmaid dress and all of the comments on her photos asked if she got married. I like having a pop of color with the bridesmaid dresses. That being said if it’s want you want, it definitely is unique and beautiful!

I have my bridesmaids in ivory my maid of honor in Torquoise green and my wedding dress is a crystal pink.. and my girl are happy.. plus i picked a dress that they can re use again.. so I say it if your dress is off white or ivory then no cause its your day and you need to be the one that stands out.. but it's mostly up to you as it is your wedding..
