It's time for my Tummy Tuck

Natalie, on June 24, 2011 at 11:01 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 25

Well ladies around 7 months ago I posted I would be getting a tummy tuck before my wedding. I wanted to lose weight first and prepare my body. I am now as of this week 55lbs lighter. My date for surgery is July 14. I passed all labs researched my Dr. and I'm ready, set and go. A little nervous but super excited. I will have a little over 3months to heal before the big day. This is all getting real-real fast.

OMG I'm soooo jealous! A tummy tuck is my next thing I'm saving for! Question, what's it costing you?

My mom had one a few years ago. It is VERY painful to recover from and she had to sleep sitting up for like a week. Overall she loved the results, but if you don't change your lifestyle you'll get a gut again. She had a lot of skin removed from having four kids though.

Lol Patrice me too I wish I could get my buttocks done I have that no A..S-AT-All disease LMBO. Yeah I work out a whole lot. I always exercised but I turned it up a whole new level a year ago. I also have the extra from childbirth and my oldest is 20yrs old so the elasticity is totally gone. Ive worked hard to prepare my body and now the time has come. Tired of this extra skin

My mom had a tummy tuck a couple years ago after losing over 100 lbs. A couple months later, I had a mini tuck after losing 50. My scar is obviously much smaller than hers because I had less skin to remove, but neither of us had much problem with recovery. They don't want you to just lay in bed for weeks- that actually slows down your recovery. You just can't lift anything for several weeks.

Congratulations on your weight loss. For many people, getting rid of that skin is what finally helps clothes fit again. My mom has gained quite a bit of weight back, and even though she's obviously not as thin now, she's still glad she got rid of that skin.

Thanks so much Jennifer I know they said to walk immediately and don't lift anything heavier than milk. So I'm definitely gonna have to discipline myself it's hard for me to slow down I'm constantly on the go. But I will take it easy and just walk and rest etc
